      2nd pov
"Y/N!" the crowd chanted your name as you skated on the ice. It felt just like old times when they used to do this. Your warm up had gone well, so you weren't too worried.
The announcer started," UP FIRST WE HAVE Y/N L/N REPRESENTING AMERICA. SHE'LL BE PERFORMING 'INTO THE ACTIC' FOR HER SHORT PROGRAM."
Just as he finished, you gave a signal, telling them to start the music.
Almost immediately the clarinets started off.
"Wait for the flutes." you thought.
Your first jump was triple salchow, it went smoothly and the rest of your program continued that way. It was smooth, each jump was clean. This was you best performance by far. As you skated off the ice, you almost expected to find Victor face, but then you remembered where he was.
Once you got off the ice, you were swarmed by interviewers. You expected questions about you season so far, but instead some started asking about you and Yurio.
"Were you really sharing a bed this Yuri? Are y'all dating?" One tested. You tried to avoid all questions about him, but this only arose more questions for the interviewers. Thankfully though, some one distracted them as you made a quick get away.

Just then you heard an announcement," WITH A SCORE OF 90.71, THIS IS Y/N'S HIGHEST SCORE OF THE SEASON!"
You grinned, now you just had to do as well as in the free skate.
You watched your competition, but none of their score came as close to yours and you carried the board by over five points.
As you waited for Victor and Yuri to pick you up, the minutes turned into hours. It was now 9pm and the sun which had once warmed you, was now hiding. Although Yurio's hoody was warm, even it couldn't protect you from the snow that fell. You were shivering, huddled in a ball near the doors.
You tried to contact Victor and Yuri, but there was no response.
As a last resort, you texted Yurio, maybe he would know something.

Almost immediately he replied back," Something is wrong with Victor's dog, so he's flying back to Japan. We're going to drop Victor off at the airport and then pick you up."
You teared up at the thought that Makkachin was hurt. Would he be ok?
You were glad Victor was going to his dog, but the closest airport was over an hour drive away. Yurio made it sound like they had just started out on their journey. It sounded like it would be a good two hours before they could pick you up. Your shivering only got worse as you waited, your teeth began to chatter. On a few occasions you tried to call a cab, but none stopped for the "little girl". Despite the many people walking down the street, nobody bothered to help you. You even tried to look for a buisness that would let you stay inside, but most were closed for the night. The snow also began to fall more harshly. Although the hoody was large, it did not cover your legs. You noticed them turning an unhealthy shade. You decided to give up.
You laid your back against the entrance of the rink doors and tucked your legs into the hoody as best as possible.
It wasn't difficult to fall asleep. The snow made such a nice blanket.
Yurio's pov
Yakov drove the rental car slowly down the icy road.
Was she ok? It was well below freezing outside. I had texted her several time, but there was no response.
"Drive faster." I ordered him. I sat next to him while Yuri sat in the back.
"I'm driving as fast as I can, but the roads are icy." Yakov spat back.
It was about 11 pm when we arrived at the building.
It wasn't too hard to notice her in the black hoody, surrounded by all the white snow. She laid on the ground. She looked much paler then usual. Her lips were a deep blue, they looked as though they were becoming purple.
I tried to get out of the car but the doors were locked.
"The cars still moving, wait a sec!" Yakov directed.
I quickly found how to unlock my door and hopped out of the rolling car.
I could hear Yakov shout something, but I blocked out what he said.
I ran to her limp body.
"Y/n can you hear me?" I questioned her. She didn't wake up.
I tried to pick her up, but her skin hurt my hands. It was as cold as the snow which surrounded her. I decided to power through and pick her up anyway.
Just as I turned I around, I saw Yuri behind me while Yakov waited in the car.
"I can take her." Yuri offered.
"No you'll drop her with your weak arms." I shot at him.
I climbed into the back seat and held her in my arms.
"We need to take her to a hospital." I informed as Yuri climbed into the passenger seat.
"She'll be fine. We're taking her to the hotel." Yakov declined.
"No, feel her skin!" I insisted." Yuri was the only one to reach over. His eyes widened as he felt her.
"She needs medical treatment. She's as cold as ice." he added to my argument. I could see Yakov hesitate, but he leaned over and touched her hand. With that he drove away from the building. Despite the heat inside the car, she only seemed to be getting worse. The purple in her lips was only getting deeper, and the skin was still as cold.
Ten minutes later we found ourself facing a large building with a plus sign.
I ran to the front desk with her in my arms.
"She was left outside in the snow, she's very cold." I explained to the two ladies working at the desk.
"Ok, we'll be with you shortly." one explained. I'd learned that words alone wasn't enough to convince people.
"Feel her." I ordered. Reluctantly the obliged. They decided it was emergency enough to move her to a bed. I watched as they cut my favorite hoody off her. I waited with her as they drew her blood and carefully warmed it before putting it back in her. Yakov and Yuri decided to stay in the waiting room at first, but went back to the hotel when they realized how long it would take.
"Please be ok Y/n." I pleaded over her bed side. I watched as they injected a clear solution into her arm, but they made me step out when they changed her into a hospital dress. When I stepped back into her room, I grabbed her outfit, I know she'd want it later. They covered her in a few blankets and told me she'd be staying the night. I listened carefully for each heart beat which was measured on a machine. They were very slow, but steady. I had the option to go back to the hotel, but I couldn't let her stay here, even if I needed all the rest for my free skate tomorrow.
I didn't sleep as I waited for her to wake up, and eventually she did.
At 5:37 the next morning, she opened her eyes.
I was starting to drift off, but I was quick to be at her side.
I grasped her hand to find it almost at a normal temperature, it was still a little cold though.
"How are you feeling?" I questioned her.
"Good, what happened?" she looked around the room.
"You were asleep in the snow. You had severe hypothermia, so we brought you here." I explained.
"Oh." she turned from her back to her side. Now she looked at me. We rested peacefully for a moment as I warmed her hands.
All of a sudden she looked a little scared.
"What day is." she sighed relief when I told her it was Monday.
"What time?" she questioned. I looked at my phone.
"5:40 am." I answered.
She smiled," Good, I haven't missed my free skate!"
Was she serious?
"You aren't skating today, you're still in the hospital." I informed.
"Huh? But I feel fine." she resisted.
"Yeah, but how about when meds cut out?" Did she really think she could skate today?
"I'll be fine." she insisted.Instead of arguing, I decided another method.
"Fine, let's ask your coach then." I pulled out my phone and dialed Yakov's number. He picked up on the second ring. I put him to speaker.
"Is the girl ok?" he questioned.
"She just woke up, but she keeps telling me she wants to skate." I explained.
"Let me talk to her." he urged. I turned my phone off speaker and handed her my phone. They talked for a bit until Y/n bid farewell and hung up.
"He says I can skate." she rose out of the bed and got to her feet.
Soon the medical team unhooked her from the i.v and discharged her from the hospital. She had no clothes to wear besides the soaking wet dress, so they let her walk out in the hospital gown.
When she asked what happened to her costume, I showed her the crumpled cloth I kept concealed in my pocket.
"What about you hoody." she looked concerned when she noticed it wasn't with us.
I'd miss that thing a lot.
"It got cut off you." I told her the truth.
"I pay for a new one!" she apologized to me several times. Since the hospital wasn't far from the hotel, she decided to walk. I wanted to get a cab, but she declined.
I think that night was when I fell in love with her. When I realized what might have been gone if we had only arrived to get her a few minutes later.
