"CARINA ELAYNE TOUSSAINT"

Sunday, September 25th - 1 night until full moon

I slept in on Sunday.

Which was a good idea because when I awoke, I saw the dark clouds lingering above the castle. Rain was in the forecast for today.

It was a good day for reading.

Maria was already up, getting ready for something.

"Good morning sunshine! It's nearly half past ten." she said cheerfully.

I sat up, yawning. "Good morning. You're never up before me." I said.

"Me and Ev were planning on visiting Hogsmeade but thanks to the storm we've had to change plans. I got back from breakfast about a half hour ago." Maria explained.

"What will you do now?" I asked, rubbing my eyes with the heels of my palms.

"Ev somehow got access to the prefect's common room, we might go there if it's empty. If not, we'll just go to his common room like usual." Maria replied.

I hummed in response, falling back into bed and pulling the covers up to my chin.

"I'll come wake you for lunch if you want to sleep some more." Maria offered.

I yawned again. "I'm surprised you're not the one sleeping in." I said.

"You're telling me. Alright, I'm off. I'll be back for you later!" Maria said, heading for the door.

"Have fun." I replied as she left the dorm.

I had just dozed off again when I heard the door open. Peaking over at the clock I saw that it's only been about 10 minutes.

"Can you do me a favor when you're up? Can you send my letter off for me? I asked Regulus to do it, but Evan came without him, and I don't feel like going outside." Maria said, walking over to her bedside table.

I rubbed my eyes as she brought the letter over to me, placing it on my bedside table.

"Could you? Please?" she asked.

"Mhm." I replied sleepily.

"Thanks Ri! Okay, now I really am off!" she said, once again waking towards the door.

I ended up contemplating whether to get up for about another half hour. It was now 11am and I figured it was finally time to get up.

I wanted to review my Charms project and have enough time to finish some other assignments as well as do some reading. Overall, today was meant to be a busy day.

After getting ready for the day, I grabbed Maria's letter and headed out.

The common room was full of people as expected on a rainy weekend.
