Xiao looked up, confused about where the voice came from until he noticed the braided boy sitting on a tree nearby, a bow in hand.

"Sorry if i scared you, didn't really want you to get killed in front of my eyes" Venti said smiling as he jumped off the tree.
Xiao groaned in annoyance "I could have dealt with it myself."

"Mhm I'm sure you'd have, oh great Yaksha"
Xiao turned away.
"What do you want?"
"I was just hangin around and heard you fighting so i went to look"
"You're not just here by coincidence"
"I'm not? Ehe~"
"Stop laughing like that"
This smile, this damn smile.

Venti chuckled. "I visited Ganyu. She too seems a little worried about you"
"Not her business" Xiao simply replied, his face turning slightly red.
"Too"... does that mean he's worried about me?
"Where are you going?" Ventis voice snapped him out of his thoughts. The Yaksha didn't even realize him slowly walking away.
"I-..."
"Are you hurt? Did I shoot too late?" The bard interrupted him and came closer.
"I am n-not" Xiao responded flustered. "Stop caring that much about things that don't concern you."

"But you do concern me! Well at least i am concerned about you. You wanted to throw yourself off a cliff in front of me... i don't want that to happen"

Xiao stood there in shock.
Why would anyone care if i wasn't bothering them anymore?
As if Venti saw the question in the Yakshas face he added "I don't want to see people suffer if i can change it." His smiled faded slightly and Xiao felt bad in an instant.
He doesn't want to see me suffer? But he can't change it.
"It's better to keep your hands off my karmic dept."
"But that's not all, is it?"
Xiao looked down. Venti was right. It wasn't just the karma that made him feel the way he did. He first realized that when the dept started to fade as he listened to the bards music on the mountain.
He realized that HE felt. Not the karma driving him insane but himself. Feeling empty because of Morax leaving. Feeling guilty because of not protecting him.
Stupid human feelings. I am just as weak as them.

Venti knew he was right with his assumption the moment Xiao looked down. He grinned.
"Alright, meet me tomorrow, right after Sunrise on the roof terrace of Wangshu Inn!"
Xiao looked up to see Venti with a wide smile on his face.

Justs as Xiao wanted to reply something, the air started moving and the boy squinted against the sudden wind. As he opened his eyes again, the bard was nowhere to be seen.
Why do i feel so weird every time he leaves?

Xiao wasn't able to concentrate anymore after Venti left. After trying to distract himself with continuing fighting hilichurls, he eventually gave up and started his way back to Wangshu.

Before climbing the stairs, he walked over to the river to wash the blood off his hands and face. It was refreshing and his mind cleared as the cold water wet his face.
So relaxing.
After a long day of fighting monsters, the tiredness slowly took over his thoughts. The sun was already setting and the moon was becoming visible on the horizon.

Walking upstairs, he made his way towards the little room that was officially his. He usually preferred to sleep outside but today he just a wanted to lay down in a comfortable bed.
I'm really becoming too human like...

Xiao hadn't yet decided whether he should meet with Venti tomorrow or not but he was too exhausted to think about it now.
So he just fell asleep without wasting another thought on the next day.
