The first day of June came and I decided to train with Thor. I told him to not pull his punches so that I could train harder. We did exercises where I would try to dodge his swings with the hammer or when he would shoot lightning towards me. We even did simulation training together. It was pretty easy training with him. He was easy to get along with and was a great team player. He had a few arrogant moments, but I was so used to Tony's arrogance, that Thor's wasn't too bad.

I grabbed my water bottle from the floor and leaned against the wall. "Thanks for training with me," I said breathlessly.

Thor took a breath, "You're welcome, Iliana. You may be tiny, but you are one fierce lady. If you were a warrior on Asgard, you would be one of a high rank."

I sat down on the bench. "You know, we've known each other for what? Eight or nine months now and you always talked about Asgard, but you never actually told me about it. What's it like?"

He sat down next to me. "It's a beautiful place. The planet itself isn't round like Earth. It's actually a flat surface but has the same gravitational pull as Earth so that we don't go floating about. At the edge of Asgard, there is a large waterfall. The water pours down into space and creates this beautiful blue light when it combines with space. As for the sky, we have clouds and blue skies, but we can also see the stars and the milky way. It's so mesmerizing at night, truly a beautiful sight. The palace I grew up in is made of pure gold and visible the moment you come to our planet."

"That sounds amazing," I smiled at him. "It seems like that place is a bit more of a dream than what we have on Earth. Do you miss it?"

"I do, but I'm not too far away from it. I can go home whenever I want, but aside from my father, there's nothing really for me in Asgard anymore. I gave up the throne to be protector of the realms."

"It must've been a difficult choice."

"I wanted the throne so badly when I was young, but now, I don't believe that I would be a wise ruler. I would be better at protecting the realms than a king."

"Tony told me you gave it up for your girlfriend."

"She wasn't the full reason," Thor informed me. "Jane was only part of it. To be honest, I wasn't ready to accept the throne."

"Well, it's good that you know you're not ready. You thought about the people. Who knows, maybe you'll be ready someday."

"Perhaps," Thor muttered.

"So, where's Jane now?"

Thor cleared his throat. "We actually broke up. It was a mutual dumping, though."

"Oh, I'm sorry, Thor. I didn't know."

He stood up quickly and walked to the weapons display. "I haven't told anyone. If you don't mind, I would like to keep it that way. Now, I know that you're skilled with guns, but what about other weapons? I know you carry knives, but are you good with them?"

Knowing he trying to avoid the topic of Jane, I pulled out my knife and threw it. It was a fraction away from slicing Thor's ear. Thor turned around with an eyebrow raised at me. I shrugged at him, "You tell me." He chuckled as he set his hammer down to grab two short swords. He handed them to me and went back the the table to get a larger sword for himself. "You look a little weird without the hammer."

Thor lunged at me, raising the sword up. Using the two swords in my hands, I formed an X to stop his sword. He smirked, "I can fight without the hammer. Let's see what you can do."

I pushed Thor away and started to fight him. Whatever moves Thor threw at me, I was able to block or dodge them. He matched my skills with the swords too. It was true that I was used to guns, but I was very good when it came to blades. I was apparently a natural with them. Before Hydra, I was even interested in knives when I was young. I don't know why, but I always found them really fascinating. Whenever I had to train with the Winter Soldier using swords or knives, I was excited to use them.
