Back in New York City, the search for the missing Ghostbusters was continuing. Police Chief Adams had sent a forensic team out the abandoned space center where the guys were taken from to see if there was any evidence to lead them to who kidnapped the team. No useful tips had come in over the phone lines and a search of the area around the space center had turned up nothing.

The Chicago Ghostbusters had flown in to help out Kylie and Melanie with busts. Ron Alexander, being the conceded jackass he is, did not seem too particularly worried about the status of the missing Ghostbusters which had gotten him into several arguments with Janine and the ladies. Besides the Rookie, the New York branch wasn't too fond of their Chicago counterparts, but the dire times had forced them to work together.

At City Hall, Janine, Dana, and Tiyah were once again sitting in the mayor's office. Jenny had left to drop off some paperwork for PCOC. The activity in City Hall had slowed a bit, but plenty of people were still working on trying to locate the missing team.

"It's been almost two days." Dana said as she rubbed her tired eyes.

"And still no leads..." Janine added sadly.

"Don't worry ladies, we'll find the Ghostbusters soon enough." the mayor replied trying to keep the mood up.

Just then, there was a knock on the door. The door opened and an aide let Detectives Ross and Scott into the mayor's office. Jenny came in behind them.

"Good afternoon Detectives." the mayor said.

"Hello Mr. Mayor." Ross greeted as she took off her leather jacket.

"Any leads yet?" Tiyah asked hopefully.

"Unfortunately nothing solid Ms. Clarke." Scott replied, "But the forensic team did find tire tracks at the space center where the Ghostbusters went missing from."

"Do you know what kind of car made the tire marks?" Dana asked.

"Can't determine from the tire tracks alone Ms. Barrett." Scott replied, "But we do know that it was probably a van-like car."

"So we can all agree that the guys were taken by humans not ghosts right?" Jenny said.

"Yeah, but we don't know who." Janine said, "The only person I can think of who would want to kidnap the guys is Walter Peck and he's still in jail for kidnapping and almost killing Egon."

"Yeah, about that Ms. Melnitz..." Ross started, "According to the records, Peck was released from prison about a month ago."

The news made the ladies' hearts stop. They sat there in shock.

"WHAT?!" Janine shrieked.

"How?" Tiyah asked, her worry growing. She knew all about her fiancé and his friends' history with Peck.

"Apparently, Peck was a model prisoner." Scott replied, "Judge let him out on good behavior."

"Oh God, this is bad..." Jenny said as she began to panic, "This is really bad."

"It's so obvious that...bastard kidnapped the guys." Dana added.

"But how could Peck rig up an automatic door, get access to an anesthetic gas, and make four grown men disappear?" Janine asked.

"Maybe he didn't do it alone." Tiyah suggested.

"I agree with Ms. Clarke, Mr. Peck couldn't have done this alone." Ross said.

"But who, I can't think of anyone else who want to kidnap the Ghostbusters." the mayor said as he shuffled through some papers.

"That's another thing. We went by the prison where Peck was being held." Scott said as he took out a piece of paper, "For his entire sentence, not once did he have any visitors. Until about two months ago."
