Meanwhile at Hardemyer's property deep in the wilderness, the two evil cohorts were watching the monitor closely. The little red dot signaling the Ghostbusters had been inching closer and closer towards the road nearest to the edge of the forest. Hardemyer was sitting at the desk watching the screen as Peck came in with two cups of coffee.

"Here you go Mr. Hardemyer." Walter said as he handed Jack a cup.

"Thanks Walter." Jack replied as he took the steaming cup.

"Are the Ghostbusters any closer to that road?" Walter asked as he sat down in another chair.

"A little bit. I expected their pace to be slower because of their injuries, but it seems to me they're covering pretty good ground." Jack replied.

"I have the 'other tools' ready for when we finally do get to them." Walter said with a slight evil gleam in his eye.

"Excellent Walter." Jack said as he took a sip of coffee.

"You know Mr. Hardemyer, you have proven to be quite a capable man and a very valuable partner. I'm sorry I let you go in the first place." Walter said.

"It's quite alright Walter." Jack replied with a shrug, "Besides, I wasn't very interested in being their liaison much longer. Having to deal with Ms. Melnitz, along with that jackass Alexander, goth teen Ms. Griffin, and Special Agent Ortiz, was not easy. Then dealing with the original four was even worse. They're stubborn, argumentative, wiseasses, and immature idiots."

"Most certainly." Walter replied, "Mr. Zeddemore I assumed would be bit more cooperative and level headed than his colleagues, and while he can be at times, he's mostly just like them but without the 'Dr' title."

"And Dr. Stantz, he's so sickeningly pure and eager about anything to do with ghosts or slime. Plus he has those weirdly colored eyes." Jack added rolling his eyes.

"Dr. Spengler is cold, stiff, unemotional, and too intelligent for his own good. Not to mention violent." Walter huffed, "When I shut down their containment unit, he tried to strangle me. Actually scared me a bit cause I didn't expect it."

"He's also very prideful. Tried to strangle me to when I suggested he didn't know what he was talking about." Jack said as he remembered the incident.

"Of course Dr. Venkman is the worst out of all them." Walter said as his eyes darkened at the thought of the talkative and eccentric psychologist.

"Tell me about it. He's a loudmouth, manipulative, argumentative, a smartass, insensitive, etc, etc." Jack added as he rolled his eyes.

"There are not enough words in the English language to describe Dr. Venkman." Walter said as he sipped his coffee.

"You said it Walter." Jack replied as he turned his gaze back to the screen, "But very soon we won't have to worry about him and his precious friends ever again."

"You've got that right Mr. Hardemyer." Walter replied with an evil grin as he gazed at the small red dot on the screen.

In the forest, the Ghostbusters were wandering slowly through the thick trees to get to the road. They had been hiking for about several hours now after stopping to rest and rehydrate. However, the long journey, lack of food and water, and numerous injuries(both external and internal) were beginning to take their toll on the weary men. The physical strain and stress of the journey were aggravating their injuries even more and it was becoming harder and harder for them to breathe as fluid built up in their bruised lungs at varying degrees. And the Boy Scout level of first aid they had received was not enough to prevent any further injuries or infection.
