Till the End of Time {Bucky Barnes}

chapter five

Underground Hideout — Washington, D.C.

After their encounter on the bridge with the Winter Soldier, Steve, Natasha Romanoff and their new friend Sam Wilson were taken to a secret underground facility where they reunited with Director Nick Fury of SHIELD. The anger that Steve had been feeling was an anger he had not felt in a long time and it was an anger he only felt when something was wrong with his baby sister. He had been lost in his thoughts on where the hell his sister was, but Nick talking about salvaging things from the Hellicarriers HYDRA was going to use for their plan to destroy the city even further brought him back to reality.

"We have to assume everyone abroad those carriers is HYDRA. We need to get pass them, insert the server blades, and maybe, just maybe we can salvage what's left ..."

"We're not salvaging anything. We're not just taking the carriers down, Nick, we're taking SHIELD down," Steve protested and before Nick could contradict him any, Steve continued talking. "SHIELD has been compromised and HYDRA has been growing under our noses this entire time without anyone noticing."

"Why do you think we're down in this cave? I noticed."

"And how many paid that price before or after you did?" Steve looked at him angrily.

Nick sighed out, "I'm sorry about Barnes, Captain."

"As much as I'm angry that you knew about Bucky, I'm more pissed off that my sister, one of your agents is out there in HYDRA's hands! You know about her past with them, Nick and there's no telling what they're doing to her! What if they turn her into that soldier like Bucky?"

"That's impossible, Rogers," Nick gave Steve a serious look as he was still freaking out about the disappearance of his sister.

"How do you know that?"

"It's in her file, Steve. They can't brainwash her like Barnes. There's something different about her," Maria Hill finished explaining.

"We take down the carriers, SHIELD, HYDRA, everything, and before we destroy the carriers we make sure Agent Rogers isn't on any of those carriers, got it?"

Sam, Natasha, Maria and Nick all share a look as Steve kept his firm body language.

"You're giving the orders now, Captain," Nick finally spoke.

HYDRA Hideout — Washington, D.C.

I was jolted awake — quite literally as I was being electrocuted — as a scream had made its way between my lips and into the air. I was moved from being chained to the ceiling to my body being chained down into a chair with a light hanging above me. Rumlow pulled the tasing wand away from my body as long breaths made their way into my lungs. I looked around frantically as I tried to pull my wrists off the arm of the chair, and even though I knew he wasn't going to be any help to me, I moved my head around quickly for Bucky.

"Where is he?" I breathed but before I got my complete question out, the wand was connected to my temple. I screwed my eyes shut as glass shattering screams escaped my lips quickly turning into sobs. As the electrical waves went through my head, I saw quick flashes of my life with Bucky and important things from my past.

I saw the day I figured out I was pregnant with our child.

I saw the last day I got to see Bucky in person on his last trip home before he 'died.' I had run into his arms and he caught me with his hands holding my thighs as I kissed him passionately with his cheeks in my hands.
