Part 6| The Blind

I read the book front to back carefully every single page. I decoded the symbols every single bit and made sure I knew the context of the drawings, then just went to do the exact opposite of what the book predicted. The book said I'd get coffee but instead I went to a tea shop and sipped wondering wtf this will do. The book started getting more and more hard to decode and had weird symbols next to the dates now these symbols weren't checks or even resembled it.

The symbols increased by the day of trying my hardest not to follow the book. The symbols eventually reached the end of the page and I went opposite of the book again and the symbols started glowing, glowing so bright my eyes started hurting but I couldn't close them I just cant- my eyes burn so much.
It stops glowing and I look around... everything is so blurry and dark I just use a nearby wall as a guide until walking home. I put on a blindfold and walked out the house. I didn't even notice but a paint bucket fell near my head and got some of my hair red.

The book starts ringing.. ding dong ding dong... wtf maybe now that I can't see I need to hear it? I took it out and it got louder DING DONG DING DONG I heard just whispering so I went back home to hear it "Meet her she'll help you-" What? "MEET HER" the book screamed "Where!? Who!? How!?" I said "The woman, coffee shop." I knew what it meant I needed to go there I knew the street well enough to walk there even blindfolded. I walked and took out the book "3rd table to the left" it spoke so I went there and asked if I could sit. She said yes so I sat and started asking questions, "Who are you? How'd you know about the book? WHAT DO I DO NOW?" "OK calm down, I'm wondrous well atleast that's what people call me, I think it's because I've always wondered what my name is." I gave no response... "ahem.. I don't know my real name my mother forgot it. The book was my grandma's she died but she found out how to use it wisely but she had to know how to control it by not doing what it said and what do you mean do now?" She answered "I went blind from the book" I said. "OH GOD"

"Is this bad" I said. "My grandma's vision got blurry but not blind..." She said. "Oh same it's just it's hurts my eyes if there open now it's so blurry." I said, she just said "ohhhh makes sense" "so what do I do now?" I said. "It should go away.." She said but she sounded like she was questioning herself. "Are you sure...?" I said. "Yea but this book is extremely powerful and it will make you extremely powerful once you go back to normal basically controlling the future." She answered. "Oh thats- totally not scary.." I said shaking slightly. "It'll be fine" She said making sure I felt good about it. I didn't feel good... I didn't want to be fate of humanity cause of this stupid... book and this woman's grandmother.
