Book of Future

Part 5| The Note..

After months of thinking of what to do with the book I have decided to carry it around trying to decode the symbols to know my future. I was very curious of what it was but then I bumped into a girl while my face was buried in this book. I fell on impact but she stood and looked at me with the book that had now fallen on my lap. I looked up at her. She had brown hair with red dyed ends put up in a bun and was obviously younger than me and was looking at me in a judgy way.

She says "It looks dirty.. you don't take care of your books do you?" I mumble until I reply "it's supposed to look dirty it's a... horror book!" She looks me up and down as I get up from the ground and says "Horror book huh? What's it's theme then smart-ass" I look surprised because she just called me a smart-ass "Excuse you!?" I say within a few seconds. She replies "You heard me that book looks like real ash, did your grandmother die on it!?" I think of a response and say angrily "No! How rude the books theme is about a dying population!" That'll trick her. She looks at the book then me then the book again. She says very judgy "You don't seem like the kind of person to read that." She writes something and just holds it in her hand. "That's not for you to decide I can read what I enjoy." I say knowing I don't actually like to read.

She says "fine you got me. Guess I'll be going now." But as she leaves the paper she wrote slips out her hand. I pick it up and read what it says. On the paper it's written "Oh person personally open slide inspire to earth. Tommorow he enters. Butterflies open orange kill." ... What? What does this mean? This isn't logical wording at all! very strange indeed. I quickly realize I'm reading a strangers paper but when I look back she's gone... as if she just disappeared. I shove the paper in my pocket and keep trying to decode the book.

Is there a way to change any of this? Anyway at all because I don't like some of what I see. But I also have no idea what it means so... oh look at the time it's time to go back home and eat lunch instead of walking around looking like a complete nerd. I get home and try to take out my phone from my pocket but with it the paper slips out. "Oh yea I remember earlier today.." I realized I was talking to myself and still had no idea what the paper meant... hold on what if it's a message? But how do I decode it? Hmmm... maybe a capital letters? OTB? What's otb mean.. on the bus? No that's stupid as hell what's the actual meaning of this stupid ass paper!?

I don't want to waste my time figuring it out. I'll just think about it later and research what it could mean. In the meantime I'm just gonna eat lunch. "The book seems to be unclear until the event happens" I thought while eating. But these symbols don't mean letters their mini drawings like hyroglyphics of some sort and I could also get idea from the very detailed drawing you'll see maybe every other page. I looked back at the page of which I bumped into that girl. Wait this drawing of her she's smiling but she didn't smile once when I bumped into her... the books wrong? Wait.. the note..

I took the note out my pocket and read the first letter of every word. O-p-p-o-s-i-t-e. T-h-e. B-o-o-k. I was confused then realized the periods must be Dividers of some sort. Opposite the book? What that doesn't make sense either! Ugh when I think I figured it out I don't know what it means! Then it hit me. It hit me like a train going 1000 miles per hour. The book was wrong about how we met and she saw the book when I fell she saw the drawing of her being happy and decided it wasn't going to happen. She did the opposite she was mad and judgy for no reason. Do I have to do the same? That would make sense but why would I go against the book? What's the reasoning of trying to change the future? I don't even understand half the book how am I supposed to go the opposite of it?
