Things I DONT Want in Pokemon

To go alongside the update I posted the other day of things I WANT from the Pokemon series going forward, today's update will go over the things I DONT want from the Pokemon series going forward. Today's update will go over game functions or plots that I don't like & hope Pokemon will abandon in the future. Or, I'll speak of things I hope Pokemon will NEVER do to its games in the future.

Some things I'll bring up are exact points I spoke of in the previous update however BUT I'll go more in depth into them.

1. No More Child Protagonists!

Have you noticed that the more games Pokemon puts out, the younger the protagonist gets? I DONT want child protagonists anymore!!! I feel that the younger our protagonist gets, the more dumbed down & innocent the gameplay & plot becomes. I am tired of it! Maybe it's just me, I haven't had a problem with the age of the protagonist till recently due to the fact that I began playing Pokemon at the age of 4. At the age of 4, ALL protagonists were older than myself. The oldest Protagonists that come to mind in my youth would be Hilda & Hilbert who are 15, Wes who is 20+, & Serena and Calem who are 17. Everyone else is 12 or younger. The older I got however, the Protagonists just seemed to get younger & younger with Pokemon X & Y being an exception. Our YOUNGEST protagonists are in Pokemons two more recent games might I remind you! The Protagonist of Pokemon Snap is 8 years old and so are the protagonists of Scarlet & Violet. Much of the fanbase think the protagonists are getting progressively younger and younger due to how Pokemon wants to appeal to a bigger audience. You gotta avoid adult themes & complex storylines in order to appeal to children right? This is where I wish Pokemon would take notes from Kingdom Hearts, another video game franchise. Kingdom Hearts is very wholesome & fun on the outside when in reality the plot is overly complex & VERY dark. I wish Pokemon would go in THIS direction. If Pokemon seriously wishes the keep their protagonists young, they can still adopt a heavier approach. But if the company won't, then abandoning child protagonists might be the direction they should go.

2. No More Themed Trainers

What I mean by themed trainers, I mean trainers that specialize in particular typings

What I mean by themed trainers, I mean trainers that specialize in particular typings. In Sword & Shield I was so underwhelmed & disappointed by the fact that EVERY SINGLE TRAINER specialized in a particular type except for Hop, Leon & Oleana. I get that Marnie & Bede eventually went on to become gym leaders BUT they shouldve been their own trainer before hand. What's the chance that Bede captures ONLY psychic types on his journey or Marnie capturing ONLY Dark types. I literally could walk into any battle with one Pokemon strong against their specialized type & come out the Victor. I am alright however with themed gym leaders & Elite 4 since they've specialized in particular types since the first Pokemon game. I just hope that Pokemon learns from their mistakes and DONT make every single trainer specialize in one typing ever again.
