I don't know why, I wanna do something different than I usually do & speak of Pokemon Myths that are confirmed to be fake. I'll eventually do an update on Pokemon Myths that turned out to be true. So, the topic today will be about Pokemon rumors & Myths that are fake. Some of them sound clearly fake while others maybe you firmly believe and now you know better. Myths & rumors were HUGE especially with the youth & when Pokemon as a franchise was especially new. I firmly believed some of these as a child & now I'm here to share some of them.

So here's 10 Myths & Rumors confirmed to be false!

Honestly I tilted my head when I heard about this one. It sounds crazy! Turns out, the rumor that Rock Type Pokemon are immune to Electric moves came from those who played the OG Red, Blue & Yellow games back in the 1990s. ONLY Ground types are immune to Electric by the way!!! Reason why so many people believed this myth is due to the fact that most Rock type pokemon are dual typed. Normally Rock Type Pokemon are accompanied by the Ground or Steel typing therefore leaving many people to believe Rock types are immune to electricity.

2. You Can't Purify Shadow Lugia

Shadow Lugia is the box legendary/cover Pokemon for Pokemon XD Gale Of Darkness. Shadow Lugia is repeatedly claimed to be the Ultimate Shadow Pokemon & that it CANT be purified to be reverted back to its original non evil glory. And honestly, it IS next to impossible to purify it but not impossible!!! Many assume Lugia can't be purified due to the fact that the game tells you that you can't purify it & proceeds to never tell you let alone hint that purification is possible. HOWEVER in order to obtain the last possible Shadow Pokemon in the game, that being Dragonite, you HAVE to purify Lugia first. So clearly Lugia CAN be purified! But how? Well, again the game never tells you how to purify Lugia so you have to experiment a little bit. During my first playthroigh of Gale of Darkness, by chance I accidentally figured out how to purify Lugia without even meaning to do so. In the Purification Machine, you can purify 10 Shadow Pokemon at once. What you need to do is deposit Lugia into the machine & make sure the machine is at max flow. Getting to max flow is another task in of itself... The game will then prompt that Lugia can be purified & now your awesome evil Lugia is back to its lame self... Therefore, now you know that Shadow Lugia CAN be purified & now you can get the true ending of the game.
