Splatoon X Pokemon Event!

Coming November 11th, Splatoon 3 is hosting an in game crossover event with Pokemon in order to celebrate the release of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. This crossover event is in the form of a Splatfest! The theme of November's Splatoon X Pokemon crossover Splatfest is 'What's Your Partner Pokemon Type?'

So what is a Splatfest? The players of Splatoon will join a team of their choice corresponding with the Splatfest theme. Then you will partake in Turf War matches with other members of your team. When the Splatfest ends a few days later, teams will be awarded accordingly such as Team with the Most Members, Team With The Most Wins, Team With The Highest Ranking and so on. Whichever team wins in the most categories will win the Splatfest as a whole.

So what are the Teams? So far, we don't know which Idol will be assigned to which team BUT we do know the teams!

Team Water

Team Water Is the team you'll want to join if you plan to choose Quaxley as your starter Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. Quaxley is of course on the team T-Shirt. I have a feeling that Frye will be the Idol/Leader of Team Water. This is because both in and out of Splatfests, Frye's fingers and toes are blue. Every single Splatfest so far, Frye's team is the least Popular so I feel the creators of Splatoon will allow Frye to lead Team Water as Water Starter Pokemon tend to be the go to choice by most of the fanbase every single Pokemon Generation.

Team Fire

Team Fire is the team you'll want to join if you plan to choose Fuecoco as your starter in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. Fuecoco is rightfully on Team Fire's T-Shirt. I am 100% certain that Big Man will be the Idol/Leader of Team Fire. This is because Big Man is always represented in the color red, his lyrics in Anarchy Rainbow talk about brawn & strength, Big Man is also the only male in Deep Cut. Fire is almost always associated with strength & masculinity so I'm most definitely certain that Big Man will be the leader of Team Fire.

Team Grass

Team Grass is the Team you'll want to join if you plan to choose Sprigatito as your Starter in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. Just like with Quaxley & Fuecoco, Sprigatito is on the T-Shirt for Team Grass. Myself, & most of the fanbase on this matter, feel like we'll be seeing Shiver as the Idol/Leader of Team Grass. This is due to how Shiver's Teams have won the last two Splatfests and so I feel the creators of Splatoon will give Shiver a lesser popular Team this time around. Grass Starter Pokemon tend to be the last chosen/least popular each Pokemon Generation so I feel Team Grass will be the least Popular this time around. Also, I feel that Team Grass just seems fitting for Shiver as Shiver is a very feminine & elegant character. Grass/Nature is normally seen as beauty and femininity, both are things Shiver has.

For me, I WILL be choosing Team Grass. This is because I have my heart set on choosing Sprigatito as my Starter Pokemon.

Which Team do I think will win? It's a toss up...
I feel that whatever Team Shiver leads will win considering that has been the case the last two splatfests due to her insane popularity. However, if character popularity aren't gonna play a role this time around, then I'm 100% certain Team Water will win as Water Starter Pokemon tend to be the go to pick for Pokemon Fans. Also, the amount of people who choose which team to be a part of plays a BIG role as in the last Splatfest, 96% of players chose Team Gear/Shiver and since nearly the entire fanbase chose said Team, Team Gear Won.
