The famous Red Gyarados introduced in Pokemon Gold & Silver in 1999. It is famously owned by Kanto & Johto Champion: Lance and ALSO the first ever Shiny Pokemon to be introduced to the game series. Not only is the Lake of Rage event in the games iconic on their own, Red Gyarados is practically an icon in and of itself. This Pokemon's shiny is one that both non fans and fans can name without batting an eye. Plus, you cannot deny that the first Shiny ever is a great one in its own right and is almost if not always found on everyone's top 10 Shiny lists.

2. Metagross

Another iconic shiny but it's iconic thanks to the anime, it is a shiny whose owned by yet another Champion: Hoenn Champion Steven Stone

Another iconic shiny but it's iconic thanks to the anime, it is a shiny whose owned by yet another Champion: Hoenn Champion Steven Stone. Shiny Metagross was introduced as a shiny Pokemon who went around Hoenn and Sinnoh characterized by its strangely aggressive nature as it'd always 'kill on sight' when it came to Pokemon Trainers, Team Rocket in particular. Another reason Shiny Metagross is so known in the fanbase is thanks to the Ruby & Sapphire Remakes in 2014 as the pre-order bonus for these titles was a Shiny Beldum. Ever since, the fanbase has raved non stop about how great this shiny is.

3. Charizard
