Chapter 6

Groaning I open my eyes slowly, but the sight before me is- breathtaking.

Beside me amongst feathers and fluff, a sleeping Kane with early morning sunlight hitting him.
I just stayed frozen, watching him sleep so peacefully.

We had a very long weekend, even though during it we didn't think it was.

"Morn'n mate"

He mumbled sleepily, as I smile I give him a peck on the cheek.

"I hate to ruin the moment, but I think we should clean up, your bed is dead- and what is left of the bedding is uh, crusty"

My face turns red as he says that, but I point at him as I speak.

"At least it's not all mine"

His face turns red before he begins to climb out of the bed rubble, he helps me up onto my still wobbly legs.

"I will toss out this mess, you go shower, I can have a few pack members bring a new bed"

I give a small nod before he kisses me, he escorts me to the bathroom and makes sure I get in the shower.

As I washed my body I listened to him clean, I even heard him yell at pack members for teasing me about what I was going through.

As I wrapped a towel around my hips the bathroom door opened, I look up to see a flustered Kane who has his eyes low.

"Careful Alpha Kane, your pack may catch you showing emotions"

I teased, his chin resting on my shoulder he soon sighs.

"I'm not Alpha yet, hurry and get dressed before the little ones stage a coup, you know they can"

We both chuckled before he gave me a soft peck on the lips, I leave him to shower while I get dressed.

My eyes widen at the sight of my new bed, a large circular bed with beautiful dark gray sheets and silver pillows.

I pick up the outfit that was laying on the bed, slowly putting it on as my eyes stay focused on the bed.

After buttoning my jeans I realize they are a little loose on me, I quickly thread my belt through and buckle it to hold my pants up.

I dry my hair as I brush it out, I let my gaze trace down my body as I inspect my slightly thinner frame.

"You have lost a bit of weight, knowing the little ones they will want you to eat more frequently"

I nodded my head before turning to him, I run my fingers through his hair to dry it quickly.

"Come on then, we better go"

I say but a squeak leaves me as two hands squeeze my bottom, my face turns red as I stare up at his smirking self.

"Don't give me that look, I can't help it, my mate is standing here with his beautiful body, and when you get flustered your fangs peek out along with a few beautiful scales"

He nips my nose before pulling me in close, I inhale his scent before biting the crook of his neck.

His low groan has me purring with pleasure, but I slip away and run down the stairs.

"Come on! Before they stage a coup, as you said"

I called before climbing into my car, a flustered wolf leaves my home before climbing into the passenger seat.

"That was not nice"

As I began to drive I replied, my tone almost challenging him.

"Then how about Alpha Kane punishes me later, or I could apologize in the nicest ways possible"

Glancing to my side I see him adjust in his seat, his face bright red as I hear him swallowing hard.

"I- I guess an apology would be enough"

He muttered, I rest a hand on his thigh as I continue to drive.
As we pull up to the packhouse I hear small squeals from inside, my heart begins to race as happiness fills me.

We both enter the home and are soon greeted by his brother, Zachary looks at his brother before giving me a bright smile.

"Your kids are amazing, even your little human boy put some of the pups his age to shame in play fights! And-"

He is cut off by small cries, the red and puffy eyes of my boy Sebastian meet mine which has him running into my arms.

"Why are you crying, sweet boy? Did your sisters gang up on you again?"

He shakes his head no before small sniffles leave him, I wipe away his tears as I quietly remind him not to be upset over showing emotions.

"Me- I and Sam were training with the others, but she started a fight, and Mister Steve commanded we all shift back- and when I did people laughed at me, and- and called me a girl!"

I growl lowly as smoke begins to come from my nose, my son hides his face in my chest like a pup hides under its mother.

"LET ME GO, IMMA KILL THEM! THEY MADE HIM CRY!!! AHHHH!"

We all look down the hall as Samantha falls from Steven's grasp, his wrist bleeding with the bite mark of my girls.

She charges toward us to hold her brother, and growls leave her as she struggles to calm down.

"You already put three of the teens in the med wing! After I had already gotten on to all of them!"

Kane coughs to hide a laugh as his brother looks down at the twins in fear, I don't blame him.

"Well, a dragon did raise them, but I apologize for her outburst, she's very protective of her brother"

His eyes light up as he hears me, a grin on his face as he clasps his hands together.

"Ah! So glad to see you feeling well, could you please help us rescue our Alpha now? Your other kids have had him trapped in the house as their nanny and poor Ella has had to bathe them every few hours! How do you keep them all so clean?!"

Both future alphas snort, my twins share a grin before running off.

"Well, it looks like the coup has happened, ready to take back the pack, Kane?"

He whines quietly, a frown on his face.

"So soon? That means I have to go back to work too"
