Chapter 12

Sitting outside on the porch swing I watched the waves crash, a smile on my face as I watch Kane emerge from the water with a few fish on a line.

"How would you like dinner cooked? Do you want it cooked?"

I grin as he chuckled and handed me one of the fish, he held up the rest with a sheepish grin.

"Would you?"

I let out a small flame as he quickly rotated his fish, and in seconds they were cooked.

We both quietly ate our dinner outside, it was nice but also strange.

"Almost my whole life- I've had children in my life make so much noise, I love it and don't, it's weird with all this quiet"

He rested his head on my shoulder, a small chuckle falling passed his lips.

"Well, soon enough we will be back home to that lovable chaos"

After our meal was done we headed back inside the vacation home, as he showered I tried to rest.

I soon found myself in the bathroom, my clothes laying at my feet as I stepped into the shower.

I wrapped my scale-covered arms around his torso, I nuzzled my face against his neck as a purr-like growl left him.

"Those hands need to come back up love, It's your birthday, so I should be the one treating you"

My lips brushed against his neck as I continued to stroke him, my other hand gripping his thigh as I moved faster.

"It IS my birthday, and this is a treat for me"

A low moan left him and sent a shiver down my spine, I bit down on the back of his neck which made him thrust his hips with a groan.

I couldn't help the grin on my face with his release, but soon I let out a squeak before his lips pressed against mine.

His mouth left a trail of small bruises down my body, with his attack on my erect member and his grip on both cheeks I had to hold on to the shower rod to keep from falling.

We soon were on the bed, blanket and sheets sticking to our wet bodies.

Letting out a groan I dug my claws into the headboard, I gasped for breath once he was in me fully.

Once I had relaxed he began moving, he started slow but soon he was moving faster.

I moaned as he bit into my shoulder, one hand on my waist as the other supported him.

"Kane- I'm almost- Kane!"

I moaned his name as I release, his deep growl sends my body trembling from the feeling.

Something in me tightens, each pull sending a wave of pleasure through me.

When I felt the heat of his release we both just collapsed on the bed, both of us panting and I shaking.

I felt light kisses on my back as his arms wrapped around me, I turned over to face my amazing mate.

"We have all of tomorrow to enjoy alone time, then back home to our chaos"

He kisses me as we both smiled, his fingers intertwined in my hair as i began to shut my eyes.

The phone begins to ring, Kane sighed as he picks it up.

Before I knew it we were rushing home, my heart pounding in my chest.

"Daddy? The bad man, he- he took Sage and Ash, and the twins ran off to track them, Poppy is helping find the missing injured people, all I could do was call you, I can't- I can't help, please come home, please"

When we arrived home I fell to my knees, our home in ruins.

My home- my family!

Oakley runs to me, his arms wrapped up to his elbows.

"Baby what happened?!"

His smile turned to a frown as I kneel to his height.

"Daddy, I tried to hold on to Sage, but fire hurt too much, im sorry"

He cried, I hold him close as I shush him.

"Poppy is helping calm the pups that were hurt, the twins are coming back to give us directions to where the scent ends, then we can start planning out how to save Ash and Sage"

As I hold Oakley close I can feel parts of my dragon form come out, my throat warming as I speak.

"And Im putting an end to that monster's life"

Just as Oakley escapes my hug, Im tackled by my two naked pups.

"We- we tracked him good! I was a little scared because Sam was slow so I was alone"

Sam gasps as she then smacks his chest, he smiles as he pokes her shoulder.

I hug them both tight as Sam defends herself against her brother's accusations.

"You are just way fast, the adults struggle to keep up with me so Im not slow"

They both look at me, sadness in their eyes.

"Don't worry, Ash and Sage will be home soon"

As they climb off of me, Sam shouts.

"You guys are gonna FUCK EM UP!"

My eyes widen as my jaw drops, as she runs away Kane and me both shout.

"NO CUSSING SAMANTHA!"

Sebastian throws his uncle under the bus, I guess Zach is a dead man.

"That fucker would, he knows children shouldn't be fucking cursing"

I gasp in fake shock before chuckling, I get back on my feet with a sigh.

"Let's go set up our plan to get our babies back"
