Chapter 16

Seventeen years.

It's been seventeen, wonderful years since the birth of Raven.

We had quite a few more children, our youngest being eight months old.

But now I need to focus, Kit, our son we had after Raven, needed us.

"He is fifteen, his heat should have started a while ago, but no he had to have his first heat in the locker room! I swear if anyone touched him "

Kane growled, his knuckles turning white as he gripped the steering wheel.
I rest my hand on his forearm, he huffed as we pulled up to the school.

We run into the office to find my boy, squirming in his seat with a blush.

"Baby boy, are you ok?!"

I cried, launching myself at my son.
I couldn't keep my cool any longer, just seeing him like this hurt.

"I'm, I'm ok, th- thanks to him"

I look to where he pointed, a boy with black hair waved his hand shyly.
I give him a soft smile as does Kane, but he asks what we both were thinking.

"Are you an Omega too?"

The boy's face flushes, he quickly shakes his head but smiles.

"No no, just have been around plenty, bad time for heat to strike, boys locker room, but no one got close to him"

I sigh with relief that he was safe, but I and Kane flush with the scene before us.

Kit had climbed onto the boy, who I niw see in a wheelchair, it started as a hug, but he soon started to dry hump the boy!

I quickly pull him off, a frown on my face as I silently apologize.
He waves it off with a smile, but I still feel so embarrassed.
But nowhere near what Kit will feel when he can think clearly, that's for sure.

"thank you, thank you so much "

Kane said as he shook his hand, we quickly rushed out, Kit in my arms.

We started with gifts, sweet Leo had gotten Raven the one thing the wanted.

When food was served I heard a phone chime but ignored it as we ate.

"So, any scents catch your nose?"

I asked him, he just shrugs looking down at his empty plate.

"kind of, cherry blossoms and a sweet powder, but it also smells smoky, but I can't quite find it"

Sweet powder?
Kane and I look at each other, Sage now acting a bit fidgety in his seat.

After the candles had been blown out, Kane announced that Raven would start the formal training to be alpha.
The whole room was cheering until a growl has the sea of bodies parting.

A warrior has Leo by the collar of his shirt, yelling at him.

"you have no manners! First, you snub the meal, then you refuse to stand for our future Alpha?!"

Leo looks unbothered by the dangerous wolf, we stand to stop him when Leo jabs fingers into his throat before shoving his hands off.

Raven slowly stands, his eyes glazed over as he sniffed the air.

"I was waiting for confirmation that my food was safe to eat, im allergic to shellfish, and two, IM IN A WHEELCHAIR!"

The warrior backed up, his head low as the human shouted at him.
Raven quickly makes his way over with a growl, but all sound stops as he looks into the humans' eyes.

"mate"

He said breathlessly, he reaches a handout just as Leo turns to Kit who runs in.

I come back to reality as he rushed out, Raven hot on his heels- wheels?

I quickly made my way after them, Kane ushering people out the best he could.

Just as I reach them, Raven let out a pained growl.
His Mate holding two infants who snuggled into him, Raven grasps at his chest as he begins to cry.

He runs past me, then up the stairs to his room.
Sighing I turn back to see the human with longing in his eyes, I take the small girls as he makes his way to the stairs.

Silently I watched beside Sage as this boy climbs the stairs, the twins stood by us with sad frowns.

"his mate is human, in a wheelchair, and is a dad"

"an amazing dad, a very strong and smart human who doesn't let his disability stop him, that's our brothers mate, yes, and he is also caring and protective"

I smile at Sage's words, that boy is his friend and now brother-in-law.

He won't let bad things be said about him, or my new grandbabies.

After I had passed the girls off, I started to help Kane and Poppy clean up.
When we finished we couldn't stop the smiles we had, our boy was holding his mate and two girls in his arms.

"my mate needs food!"

And something about cleaning and cooking? Must be referring to the seafood allergy the boy had.

"Our boy has a mate"

Kane whispered, I wipe my eyes as he holds me.

"they grow up so fast"
