Chapter 21: Back in time again

*Stephany's pov*

your body lays on the ground, it can't move. but your brain in functioning like nothing is wrong. that always was the worst thing about this illness. you look around you. you're laying somewhere in an dark alleyway. you sigh, at least no one's gonna see you here. you finally let all your frustration, anger and pain out, as tears stream over your face. how did you end up here, how did you end up working for the company everyone hates, how did you end up with a girlfriend and how did you always, even with her by your side, end up alone. you hated yourself, maybe that was the reason you never shared shit with people. maybe it was just better to leave everything behind and start over. the look Morgan had given you when you came thru the door. she looked at you with worry, but other than that with disappointment and fear, not the kind of fear that you get as a loved one is hurt. no the kind of fear someone would have if they feared you. you face was stained with tears, you already thought of yourself as a monster. but now Morgan saw you exactly for who you were too. 

*Morgan's pov*

the portal closed behind you and you look around. then 2 familiar faces look at you. "who are you?" they ask. "i-i uhm. wait you guys should be dead" you said confused as to what was going on. the men give each other a look before facing you again. "oh you're from the future too then" the blond man says. "hi i'm Steve" he says and he shakes your hand. "Bucky" the other man says. "yeah i know" you say confused. "and you are?" Steve asks you. "Morgan" you tell them. "oh that's easy to remember that's the same name as Tony's kid" Steve says, smiling kindly at you. "i ....i uhm" you say, not knowing if anything you told him would change the future "did you see Stephany?" you ask them. "no, never heard of a Stephany" Steve says. "oh..okay" you say, thinking where she could have gone. "oh wait what was her name.....uhm......i believe she goes by Kage here" you say looking up to them. "oh yeah, so her real name is Stephany" Steve says with a grin on his face, what did that mean.

"i'm sorry i should really look for her, she is hurt, and normally she doesn't want help. but with her muscle condition and all, she really needs help" you say worried. "a muscle condition?" Bucky asked, it was the first time he spoke up. it was weird seeing him, you never actually met him, he died before you could. "y-yeah, she thinks it's an side effect from the whole being a super soldier. well she is second generation, so we figured it's probably something to do with that. but let's go, we need to find her fast" you say to them. "i think she went that way" Steve says walking in that direction and you followed him.

"so you're the girlfriend she was talking about?" Bucky ask you. you nod your head. "wait she had a girlfriend, was that the person at home she was talking about all that time?" Steve asked his friend. "i think so yes" Bucky said. "wait so Steph was here before?" you ask them. "yeah 5 years ago, well at least for us because, she still looked pretty much the same. back then someone fucked up the future and she helped us fix it" Steve says. "oh ....okay" you say a little hurt. so her work trip wasn't a normal work trip, nor was it a normal mission. she went back in time. not mentioning seeing all the avengers, seeing her dad. wait did she see your dad, or did he already die. you were taken out of your thoughts when you hear Steve yell, he saw something in a dark alleyway.

you walked up to it and see Stephany laying there on the ground, mumbling to herself. she looked like she completely lost it. "Steph?" you ask her softly as you walk up. "you aren't really here you left" she says softly as tears stream down her face. "no i'm here, you're gonna be okay" you say softly to her. "no i've done so many horrible things. please let me die" she whispers to you. a tear streams over your face as you hear her say that. you knew she never thought of herself as a good person, but you never thought she thought of herself as a monster. "i'm gonna go now" she says softly. "no please Steph, stay with me" you say softly to her. "oh great why is he here" she says as she looks at Steve. "we're here to help" you hear him say. "i though he would go to heaven" she whispers to you, a soft smile on her face, like it was supposed to be a joke. "you're not dead Steph" you now almost yell at her, hoping to snap her out of it. then her eyes trail to Bucky, and they stay there in shock "d-dad?" she says more clearly now before she completely passes out.
