CHAPTER 36

I stood up and simply went to where my husband and son were. They were both tired of their game.

"You're sweaty, River," I insisted while it was lying on the lawn. "You need to change your clothes now."

I extend my hand for him to accept it and make a stand. Pagkatayo niya ay saka ako hinila papasok ng bahay.

"Before you go to bed tonight, have a shower first," sabi ko sa kaniya habang pinupunasan ang kaniyang likod. "Don't forget what I have told you."

"Yes, Mom. I wouldn't forget," he agreed. I let him change his clothes because he already knew how to undress and wear clothes. He poured powder on his neck, letting me do the same to his back.

Ang kaniyang saya at ngiti sa mukha ay napalitan ng lungkot at pag-aalala.

"Mom, are you okay?" Hindi ko namalayan na ako pala ay nakatulala. Ngumiti ako at tumango na pakunwari ay wala akong inaalala.

"Did Daddy make you feel sick?" I gently held his arms.

"I'm fine. No need to worry about me." Hinawakan niya aking isang kamay saka ito iniangat at binigyan ng halik.

"If Daddy is going to hurt you, just tell me, Mom," he surely said it. "I'm always here to protect you, because you're my mom."

Niyapos ko siya ng may saya. Hindi ko lubos maisip na ang anak ko pa ang unang mag-aalala sa akin.

"And thank you also for being my mom," dagdag pa niya. Binigyan ko naman siya ng halik sa kaniyang noo.

"Ang swerte namin ni daddy mo sa iyo." Ngumiti siya at kalaunan ay natigilan din nang balingan niya ang pinto.

"Master?" Agad kong nilingon ang pintuan at nakatayo nga si Rain habang nakahawak pa ang isang kamay sa busol nito.

"Naabala ko ba kayo?"

"No, master. Come in." Rain leaned in, closing the door, and sat next to me.

"At sa tingin ko ako ang pinag-uusapan ninyong dalawa ni mommy mo, River."

"Yes, Master. And I think Mommy isn't fine." Binalingan ako ni Rain habang ako naman ay pilit na yumuyuko. Parang ayaw ko siyang tingnan, may kung anong galit ang pumapasok sa akin na pilit ko lang din iniiwasan.

Ayokong magtalo kami.

"May masakit ba sa iyo?"

"I feel dizzy," pagsisinungaling ko. "Pero okay lang naman ako. Sadyang hindi ko lang talaga maiwasan ang mahilo."

"You can take a nap here."

"Yes, Mom. Master is right. Just rest first."

"Thank you," sabi ko at muli siyang hinawakan. Ngunit tinanggal niya aking kamay at inilipat ito sa kaniyang ama. Nagkatinginan pa kami ni Rain pero agad ko rin siyang iniwasan.

"River?" Napatingin kaming dalawa ni Rain sa aming anak.

"River, I want to show you something."

"Your Tita has been calling you," Rain replied to him. He pouted and shrugged.

"Okay, bye lovebirds." He hurried out of the room.

"Wait for me, Tita. I'm coming!" Dinig ko pa ang sigaw niya habang siya'y papalayo sa amin. Tumayo naman si Rain at lumapit sa pinto para ito'y isara, saka bumalik din sa kaniyang kinauupuan.

He smiled and pulled me in, giving me a salacious stare. His savage eyes want to burn me alive.

"Rain." I put my hand on his chest, making him stop. He lifted my chin and came a little closer to give me a kiss on the lips.

While kissing me, his hand went into my clothes. I could feel the warmth of his palm even more as he touched my chest. He gently played with them, and later he laid me on the bed with desire.
