Everyone saw how I looked at her, with such admiration and awe. Although they couldn't quite understand why.
I was the boy who didn't care about anything, and she was the girl who cared about everything.
Yet, she is the girl that I would protect with my whole life. The girl I unsuccessfully ignored. Everybody could see right through me.
Well... everybody except for her.

Standing in the small cabin, were three people.
Allison; a well known actress, with her life together, an ex husband, a kid. That was who she was in front of the cameras, Allison like her siblings didn't have the same upbringing as most children, they were trained, tested and tortured... she had memories she cherished and thoughts she'd wish would just go away.
Standing in front of Allison was someone no one knew much about, Vanya; she had a small framed body, frown marking her face. That was all people knew about Vanya. That was who she was to everyone, a weak among the powerful.
Standing next to Allison, across from Vanya... was a fragile, broken girl. Like Vanya, Janessa had a small framed body, she hunched over slightly... whether the reason being to protect herself from outside or just a mere habit of hers. That was how most people saw her... but one person in particular saw her in a way, that she thought impossible.
He saw her flaws, her imperfections. The way her smile beamed every time she'd talk about something that she thought interesting. the way her eyes sparkled when she cried, the way she'd fiddle with her fingers when she thought she was in trouble...
He saw someone that didn't give up a fighter through and through, someone that had compassion. Someone capable of loving him.

Janessa's POV
"Me." Vanya said in a proud voice.
My eyebrows pulled together in confusion, creating a little crease.
How could a normal person, like Vanya; do something so powerful?
I let out a sigh, not in relief, more in realization... she wasn't normal like her siblings claimed. She had powers. Probably more powerful than anyone I had the privilege of meeting.
I looked over at Allison, her expression remained calm... she knew this whole time. She knew that Vanya was not who everyone proclaimed her to be. She was special.
"What? What do you mean 'me'?" Allison asked; playing dumb. I looked at her in disbelief.
"With my powers. Turns out I've had them all along. It's weird huh?" Vanya replied in a calming tone.
I nodded slowly. "It's in- it's incredible." Allison gasped out.
There was a short pause, tension building up between the three of us...
"Ca- can we do this in the car?" Allison spoke up in a rush.
My eyes drifted away from Allison onto Vanya's confused face. "Why?" She questioned.
"You're not gonna wanna hear it." Allison said, I looked back at her.
Should I expect all the Hargreeves siblings to keep secrets from their loved ones?
"Well, that's never stopped you before." Vanya said. She made a point, Allison doesn't have a filter, she spoke her mind.
Allison took in a deep breath and stepped towards her adopted sister.
