"What did you just call him?" He asked with a sweet smile plastered on his face.
It made my body stiffen at how scary my roommate could be... For a split moment, I felt sorry for the boy that only a few seconds ago called me that slur.
Just the fact that he was so calm made him fearful.
"It-It was a mistake! I was just joking!" He said with widened eyes and a shaky voice.
He chuckled. Looking the boy up and down, he said;
"Is that so? Well then, there is nothing that you have to worry about, right? See you after school." he lifted up his nickname that was on his uniform before continuing "Kim Jungmin." Patting him on the back, he smiled one last time before leaving the classroom.
The boy looked like he was frozen in that place. Only after a few seconds, 'Jungmin' went back to his seat, looking terrified while Jungwon and Jake came to me.
"Hey, are you okay?" Jungwon asked with concern.
"Yeah, I'm okay."
"I know we shouldn't have just left him here alone!" Jake said.
"Whatever. It's good that Sunoo is okay. Plus, I don't think we have to worry about that guy anymore." He smiled sheepishly while looking in the direction where he was seated in.
"I mean, I would also be scared to death if Niki said something like that to me." Jake said with a scared expression.
"True. And you are right. I think, from now on, we shouldn't leave Sunoo alone like this. We don't know what could happen next time so let's not risk it."
"Agreed."
I just stayed there in silence, internally thanking the two for doing such a thing for me.
Another 3 hours pass and it was time for us to finally go home. All of us looked exhausted while walking to the dorms.
Looking around, I saw someone that looked familiar so I tried getting a better look but that person was looking in the complete other direction while also moving relatively fast.
That's when I realized that it was Jungmin.
I turned my attention to Niki, with eyes widened, hoping he didn't see him. I didn't want my roommate to fight anyone. Especially because of me.
I never liked fighting nor seeing others fighting. I saw my parents doing that enough to make me realize that I never wanted something like that to take place in front of me again.
