132 deaths and still counting, goddamn Malenia beating my ass over and over again. "I am Malenia, Blade of Miquella. And I have never known defeat." This is burned forever in my mind as this boss keeps kicking my ass,especially in phase two, maybe because she was naked, IDK. Holy frick. XD

Flashback
I cried as Malenia moans in pain on my arms as the scarlet rot is slowly taking over her body. Even with her Empyrean blood, they are still cursed with her twin brother, Miquella. Even with my healing magic, I can only slow down the decay.
"Do not cry, this is my burden to bear. I beg you, seeing you cry is the most painful thing I ever witness." She wipes my tears and kisses me on my mouth softly. After a while, we stop kissing, and with some effort, she pulls me up and carried me on her arms like a bride and with a limp, this tall woman carried me at the top of the castle to look at the stars.
As she lays down and use my thighs as her pillow, she points out to the constellations and named them one by one.
"I will conquer the world for you. And you will rule beside me."
I look down on her and her red hair frame her face and she smiles at me. She holds my hand and closes her eyes.
Muttering a spell, I gently let the blue energy flow from my fingertips to her left arm, and I can see the rot subsiding back to her shoulder.

Miquella's distressed face greets me as he shakes me to wake up. He looks like about to cry.
"(Y/n), Malenia needs you. Please!" He drags me and we both run towards the training court. My blood chills when I heard the bloodcurling scream. As we enter the court, her mentor is trying to help her. I rush up to her and I can see that her right arm has fallen off due to putrefaction. Tears immediately blooms in my eyes ans I pull her to my arms, and using my healing magic to staunch the bleeding and try to slow the rot.l from spreading.
Malenia is silently crying and we carefully aid her to our room so that I can heal her. She fell asleep and I close the wound, Miquella stands beside his sisters sleeping form, his hands clenched in a fist.
"Promise me (y/n), that no matter what happens, youre going to be with her. To love her and take care of her." I nod, they are twins and both are older than me.
"Then its enough." He cryptically said and turn his back to us and walk out.
End of Flashback
Malenia The Severed, Malenia Blade of Miquella, name that stuck fear and awe to anyone who hears it. Together with her Cleanrot Knights, they have won hundreds of war campaign. That after a long time, they finally meet Radahn and his Redmane Knights.
The battle to become the Elden Lord and rule the Lands Between is the reason for demise on the demi-gods who tried their luck. Only the mightiest of the two remains.
"Malenia, promise me to never use the bloom, for the sake of the people." She just stares at me, still in her warrior garb, she has changed ever since we found out that Miquella bound himself to the Heligtree to free him from his curse and cure his sister of her rot.
She became obessed for his return, I will never fathom her pain but it hurts that youre being ignored, overlook and feel like you didnt exist. Gone is the woman whom I love, replaced by a cold and deadly warrior.
"You dont tell me what to do woman." She looks at me this time, waiting for mh answer.
"Well I just know this will end in a stalemate. Radahn is as powerful as you. Farewell!" I fake my smile and even if Im hurting, my heart is aching too much, I cheerfully bid her goodbye and walk out of her tent.
"You promised to him milady." I look to my side and see Finlay, one of her Cleanrot Knights polishing her sword and helmet.
"I did, and I always fulfill my promise. Here, take this." I gave her a small piece of what looks like a vial of blood. She accepts it.
"What is this?"
"It contains my essence Finlay, youre the only one I can trust. Malenia needs all help to beat Radahn, but she might use Scarlet Aeonia again and plague the lands, I cannot have that. Seeing you all suffer the same affliction is not something I wish to inflict to others." She nods and I walk towards my steed. The Cleanrot Knights walks, due to their tall statures, they dont need horses, they just marches into battles no matter where.
"Tell her I love her, and Im still in love with her." I told her before leaving for good. May the strongest Empyrean win.
