Noel Gallagher never wanted a publicist, he was one of Britain's greatest songwriters, Britpop royalty and now successful soloist with the High Flying Birds. He thought it was dumb and that his own management team at his record company could handle it. At 50 years old he didn't care about that side of his career and wasn't interested. Noel never cared about his image or how he was portrayed. Back in the 90's he would get into all kinds of trouble, the media followed him everywhere. Noel always spoke his mind and didn't care if people didn't like it, cause thats who he was. He certainly wasn't going to change his ways now just because of the internet.

Sara would always read things about Noel online and didn't like him always being portrayed so badly. Noel never payed any attention to it, he would only hear about anything if someone else told him. He had social media for a while but he found it too boring, so he let his management take it over. Sara had enough one day and wanted to do something to help expand Noel's media presence a bit more. She decided that Noel needed a publicist to do some PR work for him. She had worked in the field herself, so she knew what it was like and thought it would be a good idea to get one for Noel. She knew he would hate the idea and wouldn't want to do it, but it needed to be done.

One night while Sara was making dinner, she decided to ask Noel about it. Noel was sitting at the counter and she turned around to him.

"Noel, I know you won't like the idea, but I really think you need a pr assistant."

"What!? You want me to have a fucking publicist?" Noel said with disgust on his face.

Sara sighed, "yes, I think it would be a really great help for you in your career."

"Sara, I don't need any help, my management can handle it all." Noel said trying to brush the idea off.

"Yes they can . . but I've done this type of stuff before, and I think with a publicist they'll be more personal to you and they can help you mean what you wanna say . . In a nicer way."

Noel just looked at her with his normal grumpy face.

"Well, will you at least think about it?" Sara asked.

Noel just nodded. Not really interested in his wife's thoughts.

After Sara kept pushing the idea on Noel for many weeks, he reluctantly agreed. He only did so Sara would be happy and so she would stop talking about it. Sara was really excited and got to work straight away finding someone for Noel.
She made some calls to her friends in the field to see if they knew anybody who would be good for him.

A week later Noel came home from the studio and Sara was sitting on the couch smiling. He had rarely seen her like that, so he was a bit confused. Sara gestured him over and Noel went and sat down next to her.

Sara sat there, just smiling at Noel, not saying a word. He got tired waiting for her to say something.

"Well whats going on?" Noel finally asked, lying his head back on the couch tired from the day.

"Good news, I found someone for you." Sara said.

"Someone for me for what?" Noel looked at Sara puzzled.

"A pr assistant, remember? You said you would try it out."

"Oh, sure whatever." Noel said and rested his head back down.

"Don't yous wanna know anything about her?" Sara asked.

Noel peeked his head up. "her?"  Sara slapped him on the arm for being a cheeky git.

"Yes its a woman. And she's new so try to be nice."

"You gave me a newbie? Does she even know what the fuck shes doin?" Noel said.

"Yes but you're not that complicated, so it should be easy for her." Sara chuckled.

"Easy, Im not fuckin easy." Noel thought to himself.

"Yeah yeah, we'll see about that." He said.

"Anyways her names Jessica, she'll be calling you soon to introduce herself." Sara said, though Noel was now ignoring her.

Did Noel really need some pr assistant, he thought he was doing fine on his own? He was tired of media being everywhere back in the 90's. He thought he had finally escaped it but now he was going to have someone up his arse all day, following him around like a puppy. Noel could not see this lasting very long, or so he thought . .
