I helped Noel to move some of his stuff to storage as it all wouldn't fit in my place. I drove him to the flat which wasn't too far out of London, but still close enough to his studio. I started to get very nervous pulling up to my place. I knew it was going to be odd for Noel being in such a small place and not having everything his own. I hoped it would be ok for him. I tried my best to clean and make it look presentable for him. His old house always look so pristine, I was afraid to touch anything.

I walked Noel up to the door and let him inside. I showed him around the place and the room he would be living in. Noel sat down on the bed and I could tell he wasn't comfortable.

"You don't have to stay here. I know its not what you are used to. You can go back to the hotel and I can help you look for a new house." I said sitting down next to him. I placed my hand on his shoulder to try and comfort him.

"No, I'm sorry Jess. I want to stay here with you. Just a big change of scenery is all. I'll get used to it." Noel reassured me as he took my hand.

"Ok." I smiled back at him.

We went to go get the few things Noel had brought in the car. He had a few boxes of clothes and accessories along with some other smaller possessions, and just one acoustic guitar. We set the things down in his room and I let him unpack while I made a snack. Noel came out a few hours later and I promised him that I could take him shopping to spruce up the room and make it more his style later on.

A few weeks went by and I think Noel started to finally settle in. It was awkward at first seeing Noel 24/7 but I started to enjoy it. He smiled at me and said good morning everyday. We would take turns making each other breakfast. He would go to work in his studio like normal while I did mine. On his days off he would watch me work on the sofa. I let him watch his little football games on the tv or computer. I hadn't realized how much he actually enjoyed the football, almost as much as his music. I never watched the matches with him, but I saw from afar how happy they made him.

I never stepped foot in Noel's room, even at the old house. It felt like his sacred ground and I wanted him to have his privacy of course. Noel always kept the door closed whether he was in there or not. I always ended up going to bed before Noel anyways. One night I woke up and needed to go to the bathroom. As I stepped out of my room I could hear music coming from across the hall. I slowly inched my way in front of the door to Noel's room trying not to make any noise. I leaned my ear up to listen to what was going on and realized he was playing his guitar. I must've been a heavy sleeper or he was playing quietly as I hadn't heard it prior to this night. Then I heard Noel's voice as he began to sing. I couldn't quite make out what he was singing, all I heard was about a girl and an xray? Seems like a weird subject. I found myself becoming very relaxed and soothed by Noel's playing. It was just like the first day I came to work for him. Hearing him play was like him finally having the courage to show his true self. I decided not to peak in any longer and went back to sleep. I laid in bed and thought about Noel and his music. I never wanted that sensation to leave my body again. There must've been some reason he was keeping this from me. I decided then to listen to him every night he played.

Recently Noel had been in a creative mood as he was playing for a bit every night. I was keeping up my charade of pretending to go to sleep and then waiting for him to go in the room. He hadn't said anything to me at all yet so I thought I was fine. One night Noel decided to go to bed early. I figured he wasn't going to play so I headed to my room to actually go to sleep. I had only gotten my bra and pants off when at that moment I heard Noel strumming. I made my way to his door and leaned in like normal to hear him. As soon as my head hit the door, I immediately fell flat on the ground. It all happened to fast, I had no clue what was going on until I lifted my head up to hear Noel laughing. He bent down and offered me a hand to stand up. I gathered myself and when I stood back up, I noticed Noel was only in his boxers.
