Two months later
"Hey, Yeji!" Lia called out, noticing Yeji's unusual silence while Chaeryeong chatted with Somi and Yuna. Yeji was even subtly glaring at them. "Yes?" Yeji responded. "I've noticed you're glaring at Yuna and Somi! Are you jealous?" Lia asked bluntly. "N-no, I'm not," Yeji stammered, her eyes still fixed on the two girls talking to her owner.
"Tsk, you can't fool me. I'm great at observing and reading emotions!" Lia said confidently. Yeji remained quiet, her gaze locked on the cheerful conversation. "You know Yuna won't take Chaeryeong away from you; she likes someone else. As for Somi, I don't know her well yet, but if she tries to steal Chaeryeong, you better step up before it's too late!" Lia advised.

Yeji still couldn't quite grasp what she was feeling, but one thing was clear—she didn't want to lose her owner. Lia, however, already understood what Yeji was experiencing since she had been through it herself. Still, Yeji's understanding hadn't caught up to Lia's just yet.

A month had passed, yet Yeji still couldn't figure out what she was feeling. Lia's advice lingered in her mind, but she decided to set it aside for now.

At Chaeryeong's apartment:
"Yeji! Why did you do that to Somi?" Chaeryeong demanded, her expression serious and her brows furrowed. Yeji stayed silent, avoiding Chaeryeong's gaze and frowning. "I know you did it on purpose, Yeji! But why are you mad at her?" Chaeryeong pressed angrily.
"C-cause..." Yeji stammered, looking down as she tried to summon the courage to speak. "CAUSE WHAT, YEJI?!" Chaeryeong's voice suddenly rose, startling Yeji. It was the first time Yeji had ever heard her owner yell so loudly.
As far as Yeji could recall, her owner had never raised her voice like that, and it brought tears streaming down her face. "Because I like you more—more than anyone. You're my favorite person in the world, but whenever she's with us, you forget I exist. I... I just want all your attention. I want you to look at me, to listen to me. I don't want you to look at anyone else but me," Yeji admitted, leaving Chaeryeong silent as her stern expression softened.
"You? What about you? Who's your favorite person? Do you like Somi more than me? Don't you care about me anymore? Are you tired of me? Am I not your favorite?" Yeji asked, her voice filled with pain and her eyes brimming with emotion. Without saying a word, Chaeryeong rushed to Yeji and embraced her tightly. "Yeji, I'm so sorry if I've made you feel that way. Please remember, you're my favorite too. I'm really sorry," Chaeryeong said gently, her voice calm and comforting. She realized it was her actions that had caused Yeji to feel this way about Somi.

Next day:
Somi and Yeji stood behind the school building, talking quietly. "Somi, I'm really sorry about yesterday," Yeji said, bowing her head apologetically. "Hahaha, it's fine," Somi replied with a warm smile. "You know it, don't you?" Yeji asked nervously, and Somi nodded with a reassuring grin. "I'm sorry!" Yeji blurted out, clearly embarrassed by her actions the day before.
Flashback to the previous day:
The girls had gone to a karaoke bar to celebrate passing their exams. Everything was fun and cheerful until the mood shifted because of what happened to Somi. Yeji, who had been drinking, was only slightly tipsy but still aware of her actions. However, she let her impulses take over, leading to the incident. Yeji had deliberately poured alcohol on Somi's uniform.

"I know you like Chaeryeong—the way you look at her, and the way you glared at me with jealousy when I was with her. And know you thought I liked her—hahaha, that was so funny! Lia told me you like Chaeryeong, and I thought it was adorable—hahaha. But I like her too..." said Somi, making Yeji frown at her last comment. The truth was, Somi was just teasing Yeji.
"Hahaha, your expression is priceless! I'm just kidding, but yeah, I used to like Chaeryeong a long time ago, but I like someone else now—hehehe," said Somi with a grin. "So you won't take Chaeryeong away from me?" asked Yeji. "Hahaha, sometimes you seem like such an innocent kid, you know that? Hahaha. But no, I won't take your Chaeryeong away from you," said Somi with a smirk and a playful wink at Yeji.
"That's good because Chaeryeong is only mine!" Yeji declared proudly. Somi smiled, clearly enjoying how much she shipped the two girls. "Oh! I want to tell you a secret. Come closer," Somi said, and Yeji leaned in eagerly. "You know, every time Chaeryeong is with me, she always sneaks glances at you. And whenever you're not around, she's constantly looking for you," Somi revealed. "Really?!" Yeji asked, her excitement evident.
"Yup, but don't let Chaeryeong know I told you, okay?" Somi replied, and Yeji nodded with a grin. Fifteen minutes later, the two girls were still chatting and discovering how much they had in common. They were thrilled to realize they shared so many interests and little secrets only they knew.

At the school hallway:
"Somi, wait up!" Chaeryeong called out as she caught up with her. "Oh, Chaeryeong! What's up?" Somi asked, looking at her with a puzzled expression. "I just wanted to apologize on Yeji's behalf for what happened yesterday," Chaeryeong said with a bow. "Haha, it's fine. Yeji already apologized earlier, so no need to worry," Somi replied with a smile. "Wait, Yeji already apologized?" Chaeryeong asked again, double-checking, and Somi simply nodded and smiled.
"So, everything's good between you two now?" Chaeryeong asked once more. "Yup, and we're best friends now, hehe," Somi said cheerfully. "Really?" Chaeryeong asked again in disbelief. "Yes, we're all good and best friends now, so don't worry," Somi said, grinning warmly.
