Yeji and Chaeryeong were by the poolside. A few people were there too, but they soon went inside to join the party. "Yeji, are you okay?" Chaeryeong asked worriedly, noticing she wasn't herself today.
They sat on a bench nearby and began to talk. "I-I keep having these headaches, Chaery. They hurt, and my dreams lately have been scary. I'm... I'm afraid," Yeji said, recalling the past few days and nights that had left her feeling unsettled.
"What do you mean, dreams? What scary dreams? And Yeji, why didn't you tell me about this?" Chaeryeong asked, her brows furrowing with concern. "It was last Tuesday when these scary dreams first came to me... but some aren't that scary," Yeji replied, then began telling Chaeryeong about the dreams she'd been having over the past few days.

Flashback:
I was running in my dream, pitch black all around, but the farther I ran, the place turned into a dark, eerie forest. I could only hear the sounds of forest animals and insects. I was wearing a white dress, stained with dirt and blood, and red flat sandals caked with mud.
The next night, I dreamed the same thing, but this time, a man was chasing me. He held a dagger, dressed entirely in black, even wearing a mask. Tears streamed down my face as fear consumed me. I was terrified of being caught. My small feet ached from running until I could no longer feel them.
In my mind, I kept telling myself, "Keep going until we're back home, please don't give up." But my feet gave out, and I collapsed onto the muddy ground. The man stood before me, dagger in hand, and stabbed me again and again without mercy.
Then came the next night. I was alive once more, sitting on a chair in darkness, with a single light above me. My mouth was sealed with black duct tape. Suddenly, a man's voice echoed from the shadows.
"Hello again, young miss. It's been a long time since we last saw each other, hahaha," he said, laughing wickedly. My eyes widened when he stepped into the light. 'Mr. Smith!' I screamed in my mind as he smiled at me with that same wicked grin.

Chaeryeong's pov.
Yeji was really scared as she told me about the dreams she'd been having these past few days. While she spoke, her body shook with fear, remembering what she had seen. "Chaery, even if it was all a dream, it felt so real. Every little detail is still fresh in my mind. I'm afraid to fall asleep sometimes now, because of those strange things in my dreams that keep me terrified, even with just a wink of sleep. I'm scared of it." As she said this, tears suddenly streamed down her cheeks, her eyes full of fear, her body trembling, her mind trapped by the haunting images of those dreams or memories.
Like Dr. Kim said, some of her memories might return in small fragments through her dreams, but why does Yeji seem to recall them in whole pieces? Dr. Kim also told me, "At some point, lost memories from her past may resurface when triggered by familiar scenarios or things."
It seemed like something might need to trigger her memory to return. "Yeddeong, I know you're scared, but remember I'm here for you. It's okay to be scared, but you have to fight it. Even if you're afraid of something, you must face it, and you won't be alone because I'm here, okay?" I told Yeji while holding her hands, reassuring her not to be afraid.
I wiped her tears with my thumb, smiled at her warmly, kissed her forehead, and hugged her. Gently rubbing her back, I whispered, "It's gonna be okay, I'm here." She hugged me back after hearing that and said, "Thank you, Chaery." I felt my shoulder grow wet from her nonstop tears falling from her feline eyes, now slightly puffy when I looked at them.

Author's POV.
Two girls walked into the party and soon spotted someone familiar — the girl they had seen yesterday at the mall. "Wow, is that Kim So Hyun? The famous actress? I can't believe my eyes seeing her in person," Ryujin said, unable to take her eyes off one of her favorite actresses. All the girls stared in awe at the beautiful actress, but Chaeryeong and Yeji, on the other hand, finally realized who she was. She had seemed familiar before, but they couldn't place her — until now.
Kim So Hyun looked in their direction, recognized her two saviors, and smiled warmly as she approached them. "It's you guys, Lee Chaeryeong and Hwang Yeji, right? I'm so glad to see my two saviors again," she said with a bright beam, shocking her friends at the fact they knew each other.
Just as So Hyun was about to say something, her boyfriend appeared. "Hey, babe," he greeted her with a bright smile, then noticed the people she was talking to. "Oh, nice to meet you two again," he said upon recognizing Yeji and Chaeryeong.
"Hwang Minhyun, right?" Yeji asked, and the man nodded with a smile. "You know each other too?" So Hyun asked her boyfriend. "Yup, I met them at my father's old neighborhood," Minhyun explained. "Wait, you know these two too?" Minhyun asked his girlfriend. "Yes, in fact, these two are the ones I was telling you about — the ones who saved me," So Hyun replied.
"Wow, so these two are your saviors? That's so cool," Minhyun said in amazement, and So Hyun nodded proudly. Their friends were stunned that Chaeryeong and Yeji knew this power couple. Later, Chaeryeong and Yeji explained how they had met them, leaving everyone nodding in amazement.
