At the Ferris wheel:
"It's a shame the others missed this beautiful view, don't you think, Yeji?" said Chaeryeong, admiring the breathtaking sight of the entire funfair. The air was filled with laughter as people enjoyed the company of their loved ones. Then she glanced at Yeji.
She noticed Yeji looking down, trembling. Gently, she took Yeji's shaking hands in hers. Yeji looked at Chaeryeong's hands and felt a wave of security, calm, and relief. Slowly, she raised her eyes to meet Chaeryeong's gaze.
Chaeryeong gave her a genuine smile, just like always, but this time her eyes seemed to say, "It's okay, don't be scared, I'm here." Without needing words, her actions brought comfort. Yeji thought about how Chaeryeong's touch was always so soft and gentle. Finally, Yeji smiled with her eyes, as if to say, "I'm fine because you're with me." Even without speaking, their gestures said everything.
Sometimes, love doesn't need to be spoken aloud. It's in the way someone cares for you, the way their eyes see you as the most beautiful person in the world, their smile, or a simple gentle touch. Even the smallest gestures can carry so much meaning.

Author's pov.
At the dance class:
"Hey, Ryujin, are you really okay now?" Chaeryeong asked her friend with concern. "Yeah, I'm fine now, no worries," Ryujin replied with a reassuring smile. "What about you, Somi? your grandma doing better?" Chaeryeong asked again, still worried. "Yes, she's fine now, don't worry," Somi answered, smiling just like Ryujin.
"What are you all planning to do this summer?" Yuna suddenly asked, changing the topic. "Oh, I haven't made any plans yet!" Lia said, pouting as she tried to figure out her summer break. "Me? I'm heading back to the U.S. for a while," Somi shared. "Ohhh," everyone responded. "What about you, Yuna?" Somi asked.
"Me? Hmm, I think I'll visit my grandma. It's been a year since I last saw her," Yuna said, her voice tinged with sadness. "I still have a lot of projects to finish," Ryujin admitted with a nervous laugh. "If I don't complete them, I might fail and not graduate."
"I told you before, Ryujin, you need to finish your projects," Lia said, clearly annoyed at her girlfriend. "Yeah, yeah, you're right," Ryujin replied dejectedly, acknowledging her mistake. "What about you, Chaeryeong and Yeji?" Yuna asked the two who hadn't shared yet.
"Oh, me? I'm visiting my dad," Chaeryeong said, and Yeji quickly echoed the same plan. "Ohhh, so both of you are visiting your dads!" Somi exclaimed, and the two nodded in agreement.

At the pet shop:
YYuna was out buying food for her cat, Saranghae, after running out the night before. While shopping, she considered getting toys for her pet too. Browsing the toy section, she noticed a cat that looked like Chaeryeong's cat, Yeddeong. Realizing it had been a while since she last saw Yeddeong, Yuna decided to visit Chaeryeong's apartment before heading home.
At Chaeryeong's apartment:
"Ding dong! Ding dong!" The doorbell echoed. Chaeryeong paused cutting carrots, quickly washed her hands, and went to the door. Peeking through the peephole, she saw Yuna standing there. Her eyes widened in shock as panic set in—her friends didn't know Yeji was living with her.
Chaeryeong hurried to her room, where Yeji was. Opening the door, she found Yeji startled. "Yeji, Yuna is here!" Chaeryeong exclaimed, her voice filled with panic. Yeji's eyes widened as she began to panic as well. "W-what s-should we do?!" Yeji stammered, flustered.
"First, let's calm down," Chaeryeong said, taking a deep breath. They both paused to breathe deeply until they felt more composed. "Okay, stay in this room and don't come out until she's gone, okay?" Chaeryeong instructed. Yeji nodded in agreement.

Outside the apartment:
"Ehh, why is Chaeryeong unnie taking so long to open the door?" Yuna wondered. A moment later, the door opened, revealing Chaeryeong with her usual calm demeanor, though she was panicking inside. "Yah, unnie, why did you take so long to open?" Yuna asked as soon as she saw her. "Oh, I was cooking and didn't hear," Chaeryeong lied smoothly.
"Oh, that makes sense!" Yuna believed her right away. "By the way, why are you here?" Chaeryeong asked, letting Yuna in as if she had nothing to hide. "Oh, I went to the pet shop earlier and saw a cat that looked like Yeddeong. I realized I haven't seen her in a while, so I came to visit her. I even bought some catnip for her," Yuna said cheerfully.
Chaeryeong was still scrambling for an excuse. "By the way, unnie, where's Yeddeong?" Yuna asked, glancing around for the cat. "Oh, um, she's at the vet. She had a fever recently, so I took her in. The vet said she needs to stay there for two weeks," Chaeryeong lied again.
Yuna pouted as soon as she heard the news. "I hope Yeddeong will be okay, unnie. I'll pray for her," Yuna said with concern. Chaeryeong smiled softly and replied, "Thank you." Remembering what she was holding, Yuna quickly added, "Oh, unnie, bye! I still need to feed Sarangie."
After saying their goodbyes, Yuna left, and Chaeryeong waved her off. "Yeji, you can come out now!" Chaeryeong called, and Yeji cautiously opened the door, stepping out. "Is it clear now?" Yeji asked, and Chaeryeong nodded with a relieved smile. Both girls felt a twinge of guilt for lying to their friends, but they brushed it aside for now and sat down to enjoy the meal Chaeryeong had prepared.
