I write about midnight heartbreaks, so people would know that they're not the only ones who weep in the dark. I sit between the pages of daydreams and of nightmares, so wherever they stand, they could feel they aren't alone.
I guess that's what poets are for. They write so they can give heartbeats to people whose hearts are already dead.
