"The Villain"

He,
whose name you really disgust,
has the downfall that you really wish for,
has the death that you always dream of.

He,
whose greed you totally dislike,
keeps on being cruel, traitorous, heartless.

You call him a bad man.
You call him an antagonist.

But have you ever wondered
that perhaps he does not want it, too?

He,
whose actions are controlled,
can never say no to the hands
that made him.

However, does he really like
what he's doing,
or just like us, he's also stuck in a fate
that he himself also hates?

He has to kill.
He has to lie.
He has to be immoral.
He has to be spiteful.

But what if
everytime the protagonists bleed,
his eyes are also filled
with those unseen tears?

See?
He's written that way.
He's created to be hated.

He,
whose life and death have been planned
may also be suffering in some parts of the plot
that his creator refuses to write.

Perhaps,
he's just ignoring all those hatreds.
He's just enduring the pain of being rejected.

Because
what can he do?

He's but a character
who's tragically written
to be an evil villain
