you say
that you love the moon so much
and you find her so pretty
that you can stare at her
all night longbut have you ever
done that even once?never
perhaps
it's because you assume
that she's strong enough
to remain beautiful
despite being alone
up therebut
what if you're wrong?what if
she also needs you
to stay with her sometimes?what if
she's already sick
of being alone?and she's already tired
of being pretty?tell me, my dear selenophile,
will you still love her
if she's not beautiful anymore?or if she's lost her strength
in the middle of the dark sky?tell me
do you love her enough?
