Chapter 13

We are back to Jess' perspective it will only change if I put the characters POV before the text so every other time it will be Jess'.

I walked slowly back to my room, god this is so embarrassing why did it have to happen now it had been so long since my last break down. I was feeling pretty good though so I wasn't beating myself up that much as I would have usually and Toby and Masky apologising made me feel a bit better. I did feel slightly bad for reacting to EJ's face like I did, I didn't mean too it just took me off guard because I had just woken up and I had only seen him with his mask on. I wanted to apologies but I also didn't want to make him feel weird about it so I just left it.

I walked into my room grabbing my phone and looking at the time, 9:00. I had a bit of time so I decided to have a quick shower, I walked into the bathroom and turned on the water before stripping and jumping in almost jumping back out at the coldness of it, do they not have hot water!? Goosebumps littered my body but I powered through controlling my breathing before fully submerging myself into the coldness. I wanted to get out rather quickly so I grabbed the shampoo that was already in there and washed my hair, then conditioned it and used some body wash. Once satisfied with my cleanness I jumped out turning the shower off and covering myself in a towel trying to warm myself up, I looked down at my hands and saw that the greyness had now moved down covering most of my wrists now. My tattoo was now partially gone which caused me to frown, I spent a lot of fucking money on that, I huffed and walked out back into my room, "Oh hey Je- oh shit i'm so sorry." Masky was standing there at my door but quickly turned around when he noticed I was just in a towel his eyes widening. I jumped almost dropping my towel, "What the fuck Masky!?" I frantically stepped back into the bathroom shutting the door slightly to cover myself, he scratched the back of his head, "Um, sorry, uh just wanted to say to uh wear something that you can easily move in uh okayI'llleavenowbye!" and with that he ran out the door shutting it behind him.

I managed to get changed without being interrupted and wore some black sports leggings, a dark green nike sports training top and my football teams 1/4 zip jumper. I sat on my bed, it was 9:20 and I was just waiting for Masky to come get me and I was looking through my photos on my phone. Many of me on nights out with my friends, some of my family and me on holiday and others of places i've been. A frown made its way on my face and tears pricked my eyes, I didn't dare let them fall though. I missed them so much, i'd only been gone for a day but I bet they were all worried sick. My family would have been notified that i've gone missing by now, I was never really close to them but we did get closer when I left for university and I would go home every couple of weeks on the weekends to see them. 

A knock was heard on my door bringing me out of these thoughts followed by it slowly opening, "Are you decent?" I heard Masky say I laughed out a 'yeah' wiping my eyes quickly making sure the tears that lined them were gone and then he walked in. "You ready?" I took a deep breath before nodding and getting up putting my phone down and walking over to him. He brought me into a hug which took me by surprise, "Don't scare me like that again ok?" he whispered into my ear referring to earlier when I passed out on him. I nodded then hesitantly wrapped my arms around him for a moment before we pulled apart then walked down the hall, down the stairs then out of the house. The sky was slightly brighter than the past couple of days, the sun peaking out over the many clouds that lined the sky, the trees had a gleam to them which made them stand out a mix of green, orange and yellow leaves littered through them. I took a deep breath and we continued walking to god knows where.

We walked for about 15 minutes and then we finally made it to a clearing where all the others were, all apart from Sarah... Hoodie was there though so this really confused me, where was she? I went and stood by Daniel and Cody greeting them with a nod when I got there earning a wave from Cody who smiled slightly and a curt nod from Daniel. Masky went over to the other creepy pasta's and started talking with them while me and the others stood in silence just waiting, finally after a couple of minutes Hoodie stepped forward, "As you can see, Sarah is not here. She tried to escape last night and refused to cooperate, I was forced to take care of her." A shiver sent down my spine, it wasn't hard to figure out what had happened to Sarah she was obviously killed. I definitely would need to watch my mouth more. "However, we continue on this is a warning to not try anything stupid." His voice sounded strange almost electronic which confused me but I wasn't about to speak up and question it especially after what had just been told to us.

He continued to explain what we would be doing, basically we were doing a physical test to test out endurance, speed, jumping and overall strength. They allowed us 10 minutes to stretch and get ready while they set up some challenges, it was quite funny to me it looked like a PE lesson they had cones and everything. I wasn't too worried about these tests even if I was up against two other boys, I was confident in my fitness due to my many years playing football plus I had performed many tests for fitness and had always done really well. I warmed up like I would warming up for a football game starting off with a light jog to warm up the legs followed by so flexibility movements then some increased heart rate exercises like A skips, high knees, heel flicks and a couple of short burst sprints. After this I began to do some isolated stretches and I looked over at my two competitors, Daniel seemed like he was in the zone a stone cold face across his features whereas Cody seemed very nervous and he didn't seem to be doing anything just frozen to his spot. I furrowed my eyebrows he really needed to warm up otherwise he could pull something so I walked over to him, "Hey do you want to do some stretches with me I could help you warm up?" The tone in my voice was soft, he looked and bit his lower lip slightly, "That obvious i'm nervous huh?" I let out a small giggle and motioned for him to follow my lead, he followed and we began stretching conversing slightly.

After a couple of minutes of warming up with Cody Masky and EJ came over to us while Toby walked over to Daniel. Me and Masky walked over away from EJ and Cody until we were out of ear shot of one another and Masky turned to me, "Okay how you feeling about this task?" he said putting his hands behind his back, "Yeah i'm feeling pretty confident to be honest, i've done many fitness tests over the years for football so i'm not feeling nervous really." I said crossing my hands over my chest. "Okay good, also just to let you know as Hoodie has not got a partner anymore he will be the one judging so there is no bias." I nodded looking to my right seeing Hoodie looking between all of us, "He saw you helping Cody out which is good it shows you know how to work as a team and be a leader so props to you keep it up." He said giving me a pat on my shoulder. 

He looked like he was about to say something else but Hoodie's voice boomed into my ears, "Okay can everyone gather around me so we I can talk you through the first test!".
