Dark Changes// Creepypasta

Chapter 16

I was sitting in my room for a while, all I had really been doing was watching tik toks but then I decided to do some research on creepy pasta's, the whole concept around them confused me still plus I wanted to know who these people really were. I didn't bring my laptop annoyingly so I just used my phone. I began by just searching 'creepy pasta' on my browser, the results weren't very helpful mostly just shitty scary stories so I began to search up the names of the people in the house to see if anything better would come up. The results were ranged if I was being honest there seemed to be many different origins and stories surrounding them which wasn't very helpful but I did manage to get a general idea. Masky and Hoodie were the most interesting in my opinion, there was a youtube channel called Marble Hornets which was about a group of film students trying to make a short film but ending up abandoning it when things started to become 'unworkable' then someone called Jay looked through it and recorded his experiences.  I watched some of the videos and I saw them! They looked just like the characters in the videos but in there Hoodie or should I say Brian died? He fell. How is he alive now? It was put together amazingly if I was honest but something that really stood out was slender man, in the videos he was referred to as the operator. 

I then began to research slender man, I already knew a little bit about him but only from the movie and games that were out. It mentioned that he had proxies in one article that did all of his dirty work which were who I assumed to be the other creepy pasta's in this mansion. It talked about slender man sickness, what he could do and showed images of him in photos. He really creeped me out. The main proxies that were brought up were Ticci Toby who I assumed was Toby because well, he ticked a lot, Hoodie and Masky but because Masky Toby mentioned others I assumed they had got this wrong. I mean it was strange to me how much information there were on them yet no one believed they were real only believing they were fiction. 

I stumbled across other creepy pasta's which may be real, I can't be sure just because of the sheer amount of them that came up when I typed in 'creepy pasta 2014', this seemed to be the time they were all first mentioned or brought to life on the internet. There was Jeff the killer which I knew was real as I saw him in my dream, Jane the killer, clockwork, laughing Jack, eyeless Jack who I assumed was EJ as he was well eyeless, Sally and lastly Ben drowned. The others were on there including Ticci Toby, Hoodie and Masky so I assumed that this would be likely to be the people who lived here.

After seeing the list I started to click on them one by one reading more on them, dam they all went through hell. I frowned and almost shed a tear at some of their back stories, they were all robbed of their childhood's especially Sally she is only 9 for fuck sakes! Her story really resonated with me and I couldn't help but get really angry reading it, I started to shake and I thought I was going to have another breakdown but luckily I managed to calm myself down before it got too serious. EJ's also angered me a lot, he got stabbed in the back by one of his 'friends' and what they did to him was horrific. It did explain why he ate Kidneys though so that was something. I also read through Ben Drowned's back story and I instantly realised that it was in fact Ben my neighbouring room and now I finally was able to realise where I recognised him, he was Link from Legend of Zelda! It was pretty cool that he basically is able to live within the technology but dam he probably had a massive fear of water after what happened to him. God I hate adults they seem to all be so negligent of their child or just plain cruel, Toby's Dad was fucking cruel and I was glad he was dead i'm not going to lie. 

There were two people I really wasn't looking forward to meeting though which were Jeff the killer and Laughing Jack, once I read through Jeff's story and saw the haunting photo I remembered it circling around the internet when I was younger. He was definitely a complete psycho but then again it seemed just like everyone else here, he wasn't born like this and was instead made this way. I used to be so scared of him I remembered so getting over that initial fear would be something I would need to work on. Laughing Jack, well he was a clown and I hate clowns they give me the creeps so I was not looking forward to that encounter very much. He also targets kids and i'm not the biggest fan of kids myself but I don't agree with killing them, they are all so innocent and he just takes advantage of their innocence it just doesn't sit right with me. 

Once finishing I decided to go back to tik tok for a bit before sighing and looking at the time, 5:45. Dam I must have been researching for ages! 

There was a knock at my door followed by it opening revealing Ben, I smiled at him as he walked in slightly. "Hey, the others will be back soon so I was asked by the others to come get you guys to go downstairs to the living area." I nodded my head slowly getting up then taking a deep breath, I can't lie I am very nervous. I followed Ben out of the room and we walked down a couple of halls, "So um I did some research on you guys." I scratched the back of my head, I didn't really like silence so I tried to start a conversation. "Oh really?" Ben asked looking slightly taken a back, "Yeah are the backstories true for you guys?" Ben thought for a second before answering, "Well most are scarily accurate to be honest but some are slightly different, for example Jeff's he didn't kill his whole family his older brother is very much alive and is actually part of us as well." I raised my eyebrows, "Wait really? Dam what's his name?" Ben instantly replied, "His name's Liu, i'd be careful around him though." I furrowed my brows now as we turned the corner, I was about to question him but we knocked on a door so I just stopped. Cody opened the door and Ben explained the same thing to him as he did to me and then we walked. 

Once we got Daniel we went downstairs and made our way into a big room. It had many sofas and chairs with a big TV opposing the sofa's, Masky, Hoodie, Toby and Ej were all sat on the sofa's and looked towards us. Hoodie gestured for us to come sit and I made my way over and sat between Toby and EJ as the two boys took up the other sofa leaving it to be the only seat left. There were more sofas but they were behind them but I wouldn't be able to see plus I didn't really want to sit alone. EJ and Toby weren't that bad either so I plopped myself in between them causing both boys to jump slightly not expecting me to do that. Giggles were heard from Masky and Toby sent him a dark look. 

We sat watching TV for a while just watching random shows that were on. It was silent no one really talking that much, Toby and EJ both seemed more relaxed now compared to when I first sat down so it was a very chilled atmosphere. After another 30 minutes we started to hear some noises of people approaching, "Guess there here." I heard Toby say from besides me turning to look at Masky and Hoodie. They both nodded, the noises getting closer before a creek from the front was heard followed by a manic sounding laugh. EJ seemed to groan slightly and put a hand onto his mask clearly mentally preparing himself, my heart beat picked up and I looked over to the other two boys sat on the sofa opposite. There eyes were wide with fear. I wasn't scared per say but I was extremely nervous, it's strange I feel like recently since the forest I just haven't felt threatened or scared by anyone. 

One minute later running could be heard then the next minute the door to the living room swung open. My heart dropped slightly when I saw the boy standing there, Jeff. His skin was as white as snow, the scars on the side of his cheeks caused him to have a permanent smile but the scariest thing about him was the black dead skin hanging around his eyes where he cut off his eyelids. A shiver sent down my spin. He tilted his head to the side as he looked at me, "Well would you look at that, it's the bitch who was able to outrun me." He said his voice sounding gruff. I physically gulped and tensed, well then i'm not going to be able to sleep tonight...
