Chapter 20

Toby's POV:

Me along with everyone else apart from Jess, Ej and Sally, as it was her bedtime after dinner, were sat in the living area just watching some TV, we were all talking and catching up about what they got up to while they were out and they asked questions about what me Masky, Hoodie and Ej were up to and asked questions to Cody and Daniel about themselves. It was really nice to have everyone back, it was starting to get boring with just Masky, Hoodie and Ej here they always treated me like a kid but everyone else treated me like they would any other creepy pasta. I was happy.

Around 1:00 in the morning we I started to hear what sounded like chanting from upstairs, "G-guys, sh-shush." I said quieting everyone down so I could hear better. I started to twitch non-stop, this was strange to me it was usually not this bad. Everyone seemed to hear it and looked at one another seeing if anyone knew what was going on, "What the hell?" I heard Jeff say, my neck snapped to the side before returning to its usual position. Suddenly a scream was heard, it was definitely a girls scream and my head instantly thought of Jess so I stood up and I think Hoodie and Masky had the same thought as they stood up as well. The others were very confused but didn't seem bothered apart from Cody and Daniel who seemed scared shitless. Me, Masky and Hoodie looked at each other and then ran out the room up towards the sound. We stopped at the top of the stairs and all saw the other set of stairs that led up to the masters office and I stared wide eyed. What the fuck is going on? 

We ran up the stairs and all crashed through the door crashing onto the floor in a heap. I groaned slightly as the air got taken out of me from one of either Masky or Hoodie falling on top of me, I quickly pushed whoever it was not bothering to see who it was and looked up.

Huh?

The sight in front of me was very confusing and terrifying at the same time.

Jess and Ej were floating in the air holding hands, there was a dark cloud that seemed to be circling Jess while Ej arched backwards. Slender man was stood behind them watching the intently. After a couple of minutes of the three of us just staring the black cloud completely covering Jess now, Ej was dropped to the ground seemingly passed out. Masky made a move to walk towards Ej but slender man spoke, "Stay!" causing Masky to freeze mid step. The cloud lowered down so that Jess was now on the ground while Ej moaned slighly and propped himself up on his elbows, the cloud dissipated and Jess fell to her knees.

She seemed different...

Ej's POV:

I groaned as I started to wake up, I opened my eyes and looked towards Jess who was engulfed in a black cloud it seemed and she slowly lowered to the ground before the cloud disappeared and she fell to her knees. 

After a couple of seconds of just staring my body kicked into action I crawled over to her, her whole body matched my skin colour now, her hair had purple strips in it mixed with her natural brown colour. As I got closer she lifted her head up her eyes meeting mine. Her eyes were fully black but after a couple of seconds they returned to their normal hazel colour, black ink stained around her eyes, her lips were a natural looking shade of purple and I could see her teeth were sharpened just like mine. She looked in shock and kept blinking I think she was trying to understand what just happened. I cupped my hands around her face, "You okay?" She brought her hands up putting them over my hands and nodded slightly. 

"Can someone please tell me what the actual fuck is going on?!" I snapped my head to the side as well as Jess and I saw Hoodie, Masky and Toby stood there. I was about to speak but then master spoke. "Please gather everyone in the kitchen, all will be explained then." They seemed to want to protest just wanting to be told now but reluctantly turned and left the room.

Jess' POV:

I stood up slowly from the ground slightly wobbling but nevertheless standing, I turned and looked at slender man. "How are you feeling child?" He said tilting his head, I stood for a moment. I felt powerful, unstoppable even. "Good." I simply said back. He nodded and turned to Ej, "Take her downstairs to the kitchen i'll be down in a moment." Ej nodded and grabbed my hand and we left the room. As we descended the stairs I spoke up, "So I guess were siblings then." I scratched the back of my head, he squeezed my hand slightly with a smile crossing his face, "I guess you are, i'm glad to have you as my sister." I smiled back and we continued walking until we got to the kitchen. I let go of Ej's hand and he entered the room, I froze. What was I going to say? What are they all going to think of me? I could here talking on the other side of the door but my body refused to walk in.

I must have been stood there for a couple of minutes until I felt a presence behind me, I turned and looked up seeing slender man standing there, "Come on my child, lets enter." With that I took a deep breath and walked in slender man following just behind me. The chatter from before all stopped and everyone looked towards me, I didn't dare let any weakness show on my face but I was terrified. Everyone looked at me curiously apart from Daniel and Cody who just looked terrified. We walked into the middle of the room, Ej coming over and standing next to me and slender man started to explain the situation. 

Everyone seemed pretty chill about it to be honest, Cody and Daniel still seemed really confused but they didn't question it probably not wanting to talk in front of slender man scared of what he might do. 

"I have also decided that Jess will become a proxy automatically due to this power she possesses." Slender man spoke and I looked up at him shocked, wait really? I couldn't help but look towards Daniel and Cody as I basically just stole a spot from one of them, they just looked at each other scared. "She will still be taking part in the tests but will need to not be tested against the other two as now it would simply be unfair." Both Daniel and Cody seemed to relax slightly at this relived they wouldn't have to try and beat me in this demon form. I was nodding along at what slender man was saying, I think I was gonna like this new me. After a couple of more statements slender man vanished and it was just us all left in the room, it was silent for a while till Jeff spoke up, "Soooo, your siblings?" Me and Ej looked at each other before nodding, he just nodded back and looked off into the distance. Silence again. Toby, Masky and Hoodie all suddenly stood from their seats and walked over me and bringing me into a group hug with them, I froze at this action not expecting it. "You scared the shit out of us." Masky whispered the others nodding agreeing with his statement, "Sorry." I said quietly hugging them all back before pulling away.

Everyone started talking amongst themselves and I walked over to Cody and Daniel, "Sorry I took one of the spots, I didn't know about any of this till today." I looked down at my feet expecting to get no response or yelled at but I was wrong when Cody spoke up, "It's okay." He said and put a arm out patting me on my arm. I looked up to see both of them with reassuring smiles on their faces causing me to smile too.

After a while we all went upstairs to go to sleep, Masky led me to my room and walked in with me. "How are you feeling?" He said as he sat next to me on my bed, I let out a sigh, "Not much different to be honest, just extremely tired." He chuckled from besides me then pulled me into a hug before quickly standing up and leaving my room. I raised an eyebrow, "Well goodnight to you too." I said sarcastically to no one in particular before lying down and falling asleep.
