Delena's Miracle

Chapter 11/ The Baby Shower

Elena is now 6 months pregnant.
She's just started her 3rd trimester and her sickness started going back to how it was when she first got pregnant.

Damon's POV

-3:08 am-

Me and Elena were in the bathroom, she was really sick.
I was rubbing her back and holding her hair in a ponytail.
It was just like when she was throwing up at the lake house.

I was getting worried because tomorrow was going to be her surprise baby shower, but if she wasn't well enough we'd have to cancel.

-7:34 am-

Elena's POV

I woke up, I went to look over at Damon but he wasn't in bed.

I heard a banging noise coming from the nursery.
So I got up and walked in there.

I saw Damon building the baby's crib.
He had a toolbox next to him and was hammering nails into the wood.

I leaned into the door frame and watched him.
It was adorable how he was doing this, at 7:30 in the morning too.

I smiled and then went downstairs to get
some blood bags.

Drinking blood made me feel a lot better.

I picked up 5 blood bags, ripped them open with my teeth and guzzled all 5 of them in 10 seconds.

Then I went upstairs and quickly got ready.

Damon's POV

I took a break from assembling the crib and went downstairs to make coffee.

Elena came downstairs and walked into the kitchen,
She was wearing a purple tank top, a pair of jeans and a messy bun.

I looked at her.
"Good morning." She said to me.
I said it back and kissed her.

"What I'd do to have a cup of coffee right now." She told me.
"Not long until you can." I smiled
Then there was a knock at the door.
I knew it was bonnie, she was taking Elena out so we could set up everything for the baby shower.

"I better go." She said, she kissed my cheek and then walked out the door with Bonnie.

I texted Caroline,Alaric,Jenna,Jeremy,Matt and Stefan... to all come over now.

We included Stefan in it, but if he didn't end up coming that was his choice.

In the next 30 minutes everyone turned up with decorations,food,gifts.

Caroline went into event planning mode...

"Right I've marked where I want the white balloons with X's on the floor made out of tape, gifts on this table, food on that one."
"Why are you all standing there move, move!" She yelled and everyone started running around.

I was making drinks with Alaric.
"So Caroline wants 6 of these, 10 of these and 18 of these ones?" He asked.
I nodded.
"She's crazy." He said.
"I heard that!" Caroline shouted.
Me and Ric both chuckled and moved all the drinks to the table.
"Did you find out anything about how Elena got pregnant?"
"No, but.. come with me." I told him to follow me upstairs.

I went through my dresser and found the letter.
The letter that someone left at my door only saying
"I'm watching you Damon, Don't mess this up."
I handed it to Alaric and he read it.
