A couple days had gone by since the incident with Kya, Naire was insisting on never leaving Ebony with her ever again, she'd rethink that decision if Kya came over and genuinely apologised to Sakina. She didn't tolerate disrespect at all, nor did she want it around her impressionable daughter. The bond that Naire and Sakina were building with each other was sensitive, both were hurt souls trying to love and take care of another person, they didn't need any negative energy messing up everything they were working towards.

Whenever Sakina was confronted with difficult situations, Naire could physically see her shrink away and she'd slowly shrink emotionally too. She still didn't know why Sakina was crying that day, all she knows was that it hurt her bad because she'd still catch her crying at times about that same issue. It was difficult, Sakina would come to Naire when she was ready to talk but time was passing by and she hadn't talked to Naire about it.

"I want to take her out on a date with Ebony at this restaurant, just to enjoy some nice food and be in a nice location, for once." Sakina explained to her mother, Makena had an hour of relaxation before she had to go check over everything at the company because Paris Fashion Week was slowly approaching, she was busy.

"I haven't talked to her in two days." Sakina sighed, still doing her make-up.

However, Makena had heard about the miscommunication that happened between her daughters. Although it broke her heart to see her children not talking, Makena didn't know what to do exactly. She didn't know why Lenora had reacted the way she had, she'd always been exposed to gay people from a young age because of the variety of people that the Fashion Industry allowed you to meet.

"You should, baby." Makena spoke, staring at her daughter who was doing her make-up, "You better be telling her how you're feeling, Sakina."

This particular comment made Sakina turn away from the mirror and face her mother on her phone. She didn't know why Makena had said that but judging from her face, she would tell she was being very serious when she said it.

Makena exhaled deeply before grabbing her phone and carefully walking to her bedroom, then proceeded to shut the door behind her. Her mother fixed her hairstyle before gently sitting down on her King-Sized bed, then staring at her youngest.

"You have a tendency to deal with all your emotions by yourself." Makena began to talk, "I've seen it since you were a child. You'd always cry quietly and soothe yourself, never once bothering anyone else." She continued to talk, surprising Sakina because she didn't think her mother would've noticed that. She was always so busy with work.

"Even through high school, I had to use Sergio to watch you and make sure you were okay because you never leaned on anyone for help. Lenora was the only person you relied on but even then, I think you still held back to not worry her." Makena finished speaking, she had tears welling up in her eyes, making Sakina tear up as well.
