AUTHOR'S POV FINALLY

Peter shivers nervously as the air in the room seems to go cold. It's so tense, he feels like the air is made of plastic. Loki, now back in human/Asgardian form, is pacing the length of the room. Bruce is trying to calm him down. Thor looks confused and Tony looks skeptical. Bucky, Steve, and Sam had gone to look for Wanda and Vision. Shuri returned to Wakanda,but was connected via hologram call. Wade was sitting and fidgeting. Even he looks a little nervous. 

"Tell me again, who's Thanos?"

Loki shoots a glare at Tony, "A man who will stop at nothing to kill half of life in the universe."

"Right, right," Tony nods, "And-- Er-- What are we supposed to do about it?"

"I need Wanda. She, Strange, and I together are powerful enough."

"For what."

Loki presses his lips together in a grim line, "The Infinity stones, as I've told you, are the most powerful objects in the universe. They shouldn't exist and they definitely shouldn't be wielded. Thanos already has one and that makes him among the most powerful beings in the universe."

"Well, you say Vision has the mind stone. With that, we could go against him, right?" Bruce asks.

"No. Even with that, it won't be enough. And even if it was, we're fighting fire with fire. It would only end is catastrophe."

Shuri tilts her head thoughtfully, "Well, what if we destroy a stone, like Vision's. Remove it from him safely, then get rid of it. You are strong enough to do that, right?"

"Yes," Loki nods, "But destroying one stone by myself would drain me completely and it wouldn't do any good. The stones are separate but work together as one entity. You destroy one part, the others will work to bring it back."

"Why not destroy them all?"

Everyone looks at Wade. He shrugs.

"I'm just saying. A wounded animal can't heal if you destroy the entire body. If all the stones are gone, none of them can work to replace each other. You, Wanda, Strange, and maybe some others can do that together, right?"

Loki runs a hand through his hair, "I... Maybe, I guess. But it would be risky. We'd have to have them all in one place. And if it doesn't work, Thanos could steal them right then and there."

"Then we don't let him get to them," Tony crosses his arms, "Look, here's the plan. Loki and Thor go to find whatever stones are in space. I'll go with Bruce to talk to the Wizard and send word to Steve to make sure Wanda and Vision are taken to a safe location. We'll figure out a meeting point once everything is secure."

"What about us?" Peter asks, motioning to himself, Shuri, and Wade.

"You guys stay out of the way and stay safe."

"No," Loki shakes his head, "We need all the help we can get. Wade is basically indestructible and Peter is literally built to avoid danger, so they'll come with Thor and I."

"No," Tony objects, "My kid is not going into space, especially not with you."

Loki sighs, "Fine, then Peter will go with you."

"I'm fine with that," Peter says.

"And me?" Shuri asks.

"You should probably be with them too. Once they get the Time stone, they have to go straight to Wakanda and meet with Vision. Then you have to safely remove the Mind stone."

"This is a shit plan," Wade says, "But I get to go to space, so I'll give it a chance."

"Wait," Thor raises a hand, "What about the Tesseract? It was lost on Asgard. Surely it will be drifting through the void, nearly impossible to find."

Loki bites his lip and picks at his nails nervously, "I have some friends who will help us locate the stones in space."

"As long as you're sure."

"Well, it's settled!" Wade says as he jumps to his feet and claps his hands, "One question. Where are we gonna get a ship from?"

This chapter is short but we're building up to the climax. I know my plot sucks and is kinda messy but I'M WORKING ON IT
