(A/N: Hey guys! I would like to regard this chapter with a trigger warning for Suicidal thoughts and self harm, for those who are sensitive to those topics, I recommend skipping the last 6 paragraphs, love you guys and hope you enjoy!)
I stayed silent during the rest of my meal, and suprisingly my Mother did aswell, she was probably done arguing for the day and was into "i'm too tired for this shit" mode.
I finished my plate quickly, eager to excuse myself and leave the table before my Father remebered he had called me. Unfortuatly, the moment I shoved the last bite of roasted duck into my mouth, I looked up to find my Father staring at me, waiting for me to finish.
I wasn't getting out of this was I?
"Killua."
"Yes Father?"
"Follow me."
"Yes Father."
If there was anyone to be afraid of in this castle, besides Reilegh, Mother, or Alluka's "Butler", it was most definitley my Father. He called the shots, and gave orders directly to Reilegh or anyone else for that matter, including his own family members, nobody dare disobey him, King Silva of Yorknew.
The other thing, that probably made me fear him most, was that he had every square inch of the castle engraved into his memory, even Reilegh only knew certain areas by heart. Father could tell in anything was even the slightest bit out of place in the castle, making it impossible for anything to slip under his nose.
We walked through the ballroom and down a hall, and took a left, a large, dark, oak door stood before my eyes. I watched intently as Father reached into a hidden pocket in his blouse and pulled a ring of keys out, flipping to a large golden one. I watched him slip the key into the key hole, twisting it, a click, the door unlocked.
He pushed to door open, it creaked slightly.
"Have a seat." My Father instructed, beckoning me inside the study.
"Yes Father." I heard the door shut behind me, I jumped a little.
I sat on a small, comfortable-looking leather sofa, though, it didn't feel as comfortable with the amount of tension in my body.
My father sat across from me, in a tall, velvety, green armchair, I heard it groan as he sat down.
"So, what is it you wished to discuss with me?" I sat up straighter, but kept my eyes on my feet.
"Killua, son, no need for formality in here! Relax, i'm only your Father, come now, tell me about your day," I flinched at the sound of his bright and cheery vioce.
I wanted to say something like: yeah thats why i'm so phsyched out right now, but I heald my toungue.
"It was uh- it was okay I guess," I shrugged, lying through my teeth.
"How were dancing lessons?" He pressed on.
"Eventful to say the least..."
"How so?"
"Well um, safe to say Lady Hisoka is certainly an... interesting teacher."
"Ah yes, Lady Hisoka, she's a beauty alright, but boy does she have an attitude, am I right son?" My father chuckled a bit.
"Yes," I mumbled, "Yes I suppose she does."
"That's women for you, act like they love you but the moment you get close they'll rip your heart out and leave you to die, of course it's not always that way, but in Lady Hisoka's way well..."
I burst out laughing, my Father did aswell, and come to think of it, this was the most normal family Father-Son talk i've ever had before.
We stopped laughing and there was a moment of silence.
