As the throne room came more and more into veiw, I kept running faster and faster, not caring what I ran into or if I fell. I wondered if Gon was still by my side, but then dissmissed the thought, if he was going to be a butler, he was going to need to learn to catch up.
Adrenilne boiling inside me, I crashed into the double doors, whipping open the one on the right, and crashing down to the ground. I was so out of breath, I couldn't think straight. I tried standing, the brightly lit room spun all around me.
The door whipped open again, and Gon ran straight into me, throwing me about two feet away, and flinging me to the stone cold ground. I could hardly move my arms, let alone my legs. my breathe was shaggy and quaking. I manged to roll into my back somehow, and layed there trying to focus on my breathing.
Stumbly footsteps sounded in my direction, and I was able to open my eyes and turn my head to see Gon walking over to me, still out of breathe.
"Gon," I breathed, "What are you doing? Sit down you'll pass out." I panted.
"Shut it, i'm fi-" Gon promply fainted on the spot.
I swear, I thought, It's only been maybe two hours, and man, that guy already drives me a little crazy.
I didn't bother trying to wake up Gon, by all means, I should let him rest. I'd be supprised if he would quit tomorrow morning.
Echoing footsteps sounded in the spacious room, and I knew exacly who it was, there was no need at all to look up, I knew exactly who those footsteps belonged to.
"Young master? Is everything alright?" Reilegh asked inocently, standing beside my limp body.
I am going to murder him, I thought, attempting to hoist the upper part of my body on my arms to look him dead in the eyes.
I failed, but I didn't really care, so I just layed back down on my back in starfish position.
"Reilegh, I am going to kick your ass later, you got that?" I said through my teeth. I clenched my jaw, and opened my eyes to look at Reilegh with a look that I hoped to look like anger.
"Whatever do you mean? I simply forgot my glasses, and rushed back to retreive them, there is no need to get so worked up, in fact I was the one worried about you two, when I returned to go on with you, you both had left, I was scared sick," I could smell the lies coming from him all the way on the floor.
"Sureeee, sure, whatever you want to tell yourself," I brought myself to my knees, and started to stand. My breathing had eased a little, but now the adreniline was wearing off, I was started to feel the effects of being thrown across the room like a ragdoll. I grouned, clutching my left arm, which im pretty sure bent the wrong way somwhere between now and entering this room.
Reilegh, finally noticing Gon, walked over to him, leaving me alone.
"Is he okay?" I asked, with all the strength I could muster at that moment.
"Yes, he just needs some water, food, and rest is all, I could say the same for you too, now come along, lets get going."
I focused everything I had into my legs as they hoisted me up to a weak standing position. A sharp pain in my side made me clench my teeth, that must have been where Gon had barreled into me.
I limped to Reilegh, who was picking up Gon's crumpled body, and throwing him over his shoulder like a rag doll.
I just kinda stood there and waited to be told to walk somewhere or do something while Reilegh pulled his golden pocket watch from his pocket, and checked the time.
"Young Master?" I snapped my attention away from the watch, realizing I had been zoning out.
"I forgot to inform you earlier but your little brother Alluka? He's on high watch again, "
Now that caught my attention.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN HIGH WATCH? WHAT DID SHE DO? AGAIN? COME ON SHE CANT HELP IT YOU KNOW THAT!" I yelled at Reilegh. I wanted to slap Reilegh so hard, he wouldn't be able to see straight for five years. "WHAT COULD SHE HAVE POSSIBLY DONE TO PUT HERSELF ON HIGH WATCH?"
"Now, calm down Young Master, this really doesn't concern you, I actually wasn't supposed to tell you to begin with, I just know how much you care for him," He said, snapping the watch shut, and putting it back into his pocket.
The amount of anger boiling inside me couldn't have filled the sky.
"What did she do?"
"He- well, I really shouldn't be saying this...but... Young Master Alluka murdered his watch guards, the guards went to do the routine morning check as always, and they never came back out, it's horrible, when I went up earlier, they were torn to shreds," Reilegh said, turning to face the wall, refusing to look at me.
I groaned, High Alert was when Alluka did something so unusual, she had to be locked in her room with no one allowed in for weeks. It was so horrible. I would go in after she was taken off high alert, and she would cry for hours, not knowing why they did that to her and not knowing what happened. Often, it was something like going in her room to find her clinging to the ceiling unresponsive, or trying to cut off her arm or leg. But Alluka never actually killed anyone, Sweet little Alluka? Who liked playing dress-up and reading fairytales killed someone? No, Alluka wouldn't, she couldn't have...
I felt something drop in the pit of my stomach, I wasn't hungry anymore. Alluka would never...so what or who possessed her to do that?
"No, no, Alluka, she wouldn't, she would never do that, that wasn't her, it couldn't have been, somethings wrong, they can't do this to her, she would never kill anyone," I said in a rushed-whispered tone.
"Well, I'm afraid he did, and I have no say on what happens to him, best to leave it be, come along, your family is waiting for you in dining room." Reilegh said, turning on his heel to walk to a different door that lead through the kitchen to the dining quarters. I limped after him.
"Tell them I'm not going, I'm not hungry anyways, I'm just going to bed," I said firmly, taking a step closer to the grande staircase.
"But Young Master-"
"I'm not going, sorry, end of discussion, I'm tired, and I just want some time to process what all has happened in the past twenty four hours," I interrupted making my way to the stairs.
Reilegh sighed, and walked toward me, Gon snoring over his shoulder.
"As you wish."
I made sure the walk back to my chambers was silent until we reached my bedroom door.
"I will tell your family you will not be attending supper, let me know if you need anything, goodnight Young Master, I must go put Sir Gon here into his room now, seeing now as he is...incapable of doing it himself," Reilegh bowed, and walked off.
Wow, what a night.
