And there he was.
A tall boy, about two inches taller than me stood a few feet away from me. He had spiky black-green hair and tanned darker skin. He wore a green shirt with a hood in the back, along with tan work gloves and tall dark leather boots. But what stood out to me, were his eyes.
Huge honey colored eyes turned to look directly into my icy blue ones. I felt my ear turn pink.
I got this feeling in the pit of my stomach...it was fuzzy and warm, and I wasn't sure I liked it. I shook it off as nerves, after all, I had never met someone outside the castle before.
The boy, still making eye contact with me, smiled.
"Hi! I'm Gon Freecs, it's nice to meet you Your Majesty," Gon said, dropping into a low bow. I swallowed, my palms started to sweat, so I shoved them back into my pockets.
Why was I so nervous?
"Hello, I'm Young Master Killua's personal butler, you can call me Sir Reilegh," Reilegh said, holding his hand out so Gon could shake it.
"It's a pleasure to meet you both, I am honored to be given this opportunity," He said after shaking my butlers hand.
"Follow me Mr.Freecs, I will show you to your quarters, come Young Master," Reilegh gestured to me to follow him.
Gon adjusted the strap of the bag he was carrying on his shoulder, and started to walk after us.
"This Palace is even more astonishing on the inside than the outside, your Majesty," Gon said, looking at the two silver thrones, still glittering as always.
"Th-thank you, it's looks even nicer when there's celebration, with all the decorations Sir Freecs," I stuttered.
"No Problem Your Majesty! And you can both call me Gon if you want, it's what my family calls me," He said, staring in awe at the glossy marble staircase as the three of us started to climb it.
I nodded, and Reilegh through me a glance, as if to say; what do you think?
I smiled at him, and nodded. I could tell already Gon was a nice person.
"So Gon, where do you come from? And why did you apply for such a job?" My butler asked, cocking his head back to look at Gon.
"Well, I'm from this Village, Yorknew, and my Aunt and I live on a small farm, I'm a mechanic in the city, and at home I help out with the animals and tend to the vegetables. My Aunt Mito runs a produce stand in the market you see. I applied becuase I've always wanted to see the inside of Palace, and the job sounded interesting of course, and when I heard I'd be shadowing the young Prince's butler for six months, I just had to send in my application! I hoped to maybe make a friend while I learn how to be a royal butler!" Gon explained as we reached the top of the stairs.
I liked him already, he seemed like a really kind person.
"Is everything alright Young Master?" Reilegh asked me, noticing my shiver.
"I'm fine, thank you, just a little cold is all, I'll be fine though," I said giving him a weak smile. Now the feeling had at least died down a little.
We turned down the hallway that lead to my Quarters, which I thought was a little strange, but I didn't say anything.
"Wow! Is this the Royal family? Those are so realistic," Gon asked, pointing to the large portraits that lined the walls.
"Yep, every person in the Zoldyck family is here, everyone gets a portrait," I said, pointing to the first one, all the way to my older brothers . Twenty seven hand painted canvases in all.
"Forgive me, but I don't see yours Your Majesty?" I winced a little. Well, when you get married you get your portrait is what I should have said.
"Yes, well, Young Master gets his Portrait when he is engaged to a member of another royal family," Reilegh sighed, only two people in the Palace knew I didn't want to marry, Reilegh and Alluka.
"Ohhhhh I see," The boy said, scratching his head.
"Oh, Young Master, forgive me, I forgot to mention, Gon here will be using a part of your quarters as his own, but don't worry, you both have different rooms and restrooms," My butlers looked at me, and then back at Gon.
"It's fine, I don't mind," I nodded my head, "it's only temporary anyways."
We passed by my door that lead to my bedroom, and walked to the end of the hall up another staircase, until we reached another door. I knew it was the spare bedroom, a spacious room with a large window.
"This is your room Sir Gon, once you are done unpacking your things, return to the throne room, where we will give you a tour of the Palace," Raleigh said, turning on his heel and walking back down to the smaller staircase, leaving the two of us alone. My ears went pink again, and the feeling flared again.
Gon smiled sweetly at me, "I'm can't wait to get to know you better your Highness," He said, holding out his gloved hand for me to shake. I couldn't help but smile back, I shook his hand, he had a firm, but kind handshake.
"Call me Killua, just Killua, okay? Everyone else around here says Your Majesty and Your Highness and stuff, so please, call me Killua," I said, my hand lingered in his for a split second, before I pulled away.
"Okay! Sounds good, well Killua, I can't wait to get to know you better," Gon said, reaching for the door handle, I gave him one last look, and I ran after Reilegh. I could have swear I heard Gon chuckle.

During the time Gon was unpacking, I spent my time pestering Reilegh for the peice of chocolate he always had in his pocket.
"Your Majesty! I've already said no! Besides, theres only one peice left beause you ate some this morning!" Reilegh repremanded. I rolled my eyes at him, what was one little peice of chocolate gonna do? Kill me?
"Oh come on, it's the last piece, we can share if you want," I whined, and tried reaching for his pocket myself.
"I cannot allow it, please Young Master, do listen to me," I sighed and gave up, he wasn't going to give in anyways.
I plopped down on the floor, and layed sprawled out for a bit, admiring the beuatiful handy-work of whoever carved the ceiling pattern. The throne room was large shiney room, with large windows on the left side, showing the village down below. The walls and the floor were a magnificent white marble, with large pillars leading up to the glimmering thrones. The only color other than the pearly white of the marble was the dark blue velvet backdrop behind the silver be-jeweled thrones. The ceiling, which I was still staring at, had golden pictures painted on it. The paintings were mostly of the village and markets, but some depicted farms and beaches. And the absence of furniture made the room appear bigger than it really was.
Before long, foot steps echoed down the stairs as Gon made his way down for the tour. I got up immedietly, a little embaressed, what would Gon think if he saw me lying on the ground like that? Ah, what should it matter, I mean, he is going to be with me most hours of the days anyway.
"Good, have you settled in already?" my butler asked, facing Gon as he stepped off the platform.
"Yep! Thank you again for such kindness and hospatality, I will not take it for-granted," Gon said, bowing again.
"I should hope not, now lets get going shall we? Come Young Master, we must finish before the dinner bell rings."
And we were off, walking down one of the many twisting and turning hallways of Zoldyck Castle.
