30 - Narration

this is all just secret santa stuff since i wanted to show you what they all got each other.

"Everybody to the courtyard! It's time for gifts!" Klaus yells as grabs his Santa hat and puts it on, a big grin on his face.

No one makes a move to leave the comfortable couch so Hayley turns off the movie they were watching and pulls everyone off the couch and pushes them toward her husband's direction. "Go. We've watched this movie a million times."

They all shake their heads amused and follow Klaus out the courtyard nonetheless.

When they get to the courtyard everyone takes a seat with their partner right beside them. Minus Klaus and Hayley who were standing and facing the group.

Klaus pulls another Santa hat from his back and hands it to his wife as he bows, adding a little bit of flourish to it. Everyone laughs but all with a good heart.

Hayley rolls her eyes and crosses her arms.

"Ouch." Josie murmurs beside Hope. The older girl chuckles and whispers to the brunette, "She does this every time and folds when dad does— " when Hope notices her dad get down on one knee he nudges Josie to look at her parents. "that."

"This Santa can't live without his Mrs. Clause." Hayley pulls Klaus up to his feet and kisses his cheek, accepting the Santa hat. She puts it on with a goofy smile on her face.

When Hope turns her head to look at Josie, her girlfriend has an adoring look on her face. She was looking at Hope like she had just made the sun shine just for her. "What?"

"Nothing. I just..." She trails off and sighs. "I hope that one day in the near future, we can have what your parents have." Hope smiles and squeezes the brunette's hand. "We will. I promise."

Josie wants to lean in and kiss her girlfriend to show her just how much her promise affected her and so she did.

"Okay! Gift giving time! Who wants to start?" Hayley asks breaking up the couple's heated press of lips.

Josie is about to raise her hand to volunteer when Kol immediately shoots up from his seat with his arm raised. "Me! I want to go first!"

"Sorry, babe. Uncle Kol always starts us off." Josie just kisses her girlfriend's cheek and turns her head back to Kol who already had a gift bag in hand.

"Before we start giving gifts, We wanted to add a little something to make this secret Santa more special," Klaus says and gestures for his wife to finish his sentence. "You have to nicely describe the person you're giving a gift to, then we have to guess who it is, and, of course, pose for a picture together after they receive your gift."

Everyone nods their heads and smiles at the couple's lovely idea. When everyone is already leaning in closer to Kol, excited for the secret Santa to begin the Mikaelson couple takes their seat next to their daughter and her girlfriend.

"Okay, here we go. I'm the secret Santa of an absolutely lovely person, such a joy to be with, and a lover of comic books." Everyone pretty much yelled MG's name after that.

MG and Kol take their picture and it was time for MG to give his gift.

With the first gift given a steady pace is set for the next person. Each time the giver described the receiver, the room would erupt in screams as they try to guess who it was. It almost became a competition. And everyone was enjoying every bit of it.

MG gifted Elijah with cufflinks and a tie, which the man was greatly touched by.

Elijah gifted Keelin the knife set and baking tools the woman has been longing for.
