If I could only turn back time and say the things
I didn't say
(Adeline Hill-The Things I Didn't Say)

Lexa opened her eyes slowly, gradually getting used to the light filtering through the windows. She could feel some pressure on her abdomen, so she looked down. She jerked. Only then did she realize she was neither in her bed nor alone. She and Clarke must have fallen asleep on the couch without realizing it. She turned to look at her. She was still sleeping blissfully and looked so serene. Lexa sighed. She thought back to that one night they had spent together, three years earlier. There was no day she didn't wonder what would have been of them if she hadn't run away.

"Didn't they ever tell you that staring is rude, Woods?" Clarke, who might have woken up few seconds earlier, muttered.

"I'm not staring." Lexa denied.

"Yes, you are."

"And how do you know, if your eyes are still closed?" Lexa tried to defend herself. Clarke turned on her back, being careful not to bump into the Massachusetts actress.

"I always know everything, Woods." she stated, opening her eyes little by little. Lexa could only get overwhelmed by those blue irises so full of life and intensity. It seemed to her that time had stopped and that the whole world had vanished into thin air. There was only that blue, nothing else.

"Clarke, I..."

"Good morning, sleepyhead!". The two actresses jolted. Lexa found herself on the ground, on the floor, with fright. She raised her gaze. Anya was staring at her laughing, amused by that scene.

"Anya!"

"Lex, what did I say wrong? I just wanted to know if..."

"Never slept better, thank you Anya." Clarke went to Lexa's rescue, who thanked her with her gaze. "Excuse me now, I would go to the bathroom for a moment."

"No problem." Lexa murmured. She and Anya watched Clarke disappear in the hallway, in silence. As soon as she heard the bathroom door close, Anya turned to her friend, an amused grin painted on her face.

"Stop!" Lexa blurted.

"Your ears are red." Anya noted, completely ignoring her friend's attempts to end that embarrassing moment.

"An, I told you to stop it." Anya rolled her eyes, pretending to be offended. "We were just tired last night, that's all.". Anya stared at her friend, her gaze full of judgment. "It's the truth! After all that happened yesterday with...". Lexa didn't finish the sentence. Madi. She was about to run to check if she was still at home, but Anya stopped her.

"Madi is in the kitchen having breakfast, if that's what you want to know. Aden and Adria went to school and Ethan is with his sister, sitting on his baby-chair. I got this, as you can see."

"What time is it?" Lexa asked, more and more confused.

"Ten thirty. You must have been really tired last night, Adria couldn't wake you up either.". Lexa ran a hand through her hair. She sighed and stretched herself out on the couch.

"Thank you." she the said, turning to Anya.

"Don't worry, I'm here whenever you want."Anya replied. "But now I really want to know how you sle-..."
