When Wanda arrived from the white light into the small flat, she heard the TARDIS engine leaving in departure. She watched in the corner of the room as the ship slowly faded from existence, moving onward for the next adventure. At first she felt disgruntled that she had just missed the Doctor and whichever companion was with him. But then she saw Martha standing there, watching the spot where the TARDIS had dematerialized, and wearing the same red leather jacket as from her early days in traveling with them. Wanda beamed brightly, knowing exactly where she was.

"Martha!" Wanda exclaimed happily, beaming brightly at the companion. She strolled forward and gave the girl a small warm hug. Martha jumped in surprise, giving a small hug in return.

"Wanda? What are you doing here?" the girl asked, completely confused by the sudden appearance of the Time Lady within her flat.

"Oh, you know me. I do love to wander," Wanda joked lightly. She pulled back, smiling cheerfully. "I sometimes pop up in places where the Doctor has been or will be. I'm either behind or ahead of schedule when it comes to life with the Doctor."

"Well, you just missed him," Martha said, pointing over to where the TARDIS and the Doctor had been. "He left . . . just like that." She stared on sadly, looking greatly stricken that she would never again see the Doctor. But, at least, she was able to see Wanda one last time.

"Oh, don't look so down, Martha. He'll be back," Wanda said lightly. She grinned at the confused expression on the girl's face.

Martha frowned and furrowed her brows. "But . . . he said 'end of the line.' My adventure is over with you two."

"Nah, your adventure is never over. Just wait. He'll be back in three . . . two . . . one." Wanda pointed at the certain spot within the flat and they both heard the TARDIS engine gradually whooshing. The ship slowly materialized right in front of them. Wanda beamed while Martha stared on in shock. The ship finally ceased in reappearing and one of the doors opened. Ten popped his head out quickly.

"No. I'm sorry. Did he say he was gonna change what it means to be human?" he asked rapidly.

"That's exactly what he said," Wanda replied, grinning away at him. The Doctor blinked in surprised to the sight of her next to Martha, but gave a bright foxy grin back.

"Oh, so is this where you went off to?" he questioned, bouncing out of the TARDIS.

"No, actually, I've been wandering around a bit before coming here," Wanda explained. She turned her head to look at Martha, giving a thoughtful expression as Wanda began to recall her last time meeting the medical student. "Though, I must say, last time I saw you, Martha, was when we were chasing the Pekrag through some sewers. Let's just say, we did not get rid of that smell for weeks."

"Looking forward to it," Martha laughed, glad to hear that she was around for a while longer in traveling with the Time Lords. This time, it was her turn to give a thoughtful look. "But, when you say for a bit, how long is 'a bit' exactly?"

"Oh, I'd say about . . . sixty-eight years. Yeah, that sounds about right," Wanda said, smiling to them. Martha blinked rapidly, shocked beyond all belief that. Only the Doctor did not look surprised.

"Sixty-eight years? It's been sixty-eight years since we last saw you?" Martha said slowly.

"For me, at least. It's only been a few hours for you," Wanda explained. She shrugged, not seeing the big deal in how long it had been for her in travelling. She enjoyed it, really. It gave her more experience and wisdom to the universe. Plus, the older she got, the closer in age she was to the Doctor. Of course, she would never catch up to nine hundred (over a thousand for future Doctors), but at least this way she was not too young for him.
