My consciousness has not yet been restored, but I have felt someone holding my hands, "Hmm? Si Alex ba 'to? Bat parang sobrang lambot naman ng kamay?" Tanong ko sa sarili 'ko and since masakit pa 'yung head ko kahit kakagising ko lang napag-isipan ko na itulog muna.
I suddenly remembered Doc. Lester after over an hour of rest. If Doc. Lester sees me sleeping here, "sh*t magagalit si Doc" i whispered and sabay bangon.
I was surprised to see myself in a hospital bed; I thought nasa locker room ako? And bigla ko nalang na alala 'yung girl na tumatawag sa akin dumidilim 'yung vision ko kanina. "Naka iv pa ako, naging totoo ata 'yung mas mukha pa akong pasyente kaysa medical assistant." I mumbled to myself and rubbed my eyes to get a clear vision.
Hinanap ko 'yung phone ko kung may time pa para humabol kay Doc. Lester and, thankfully, I still have time. Bumangon ako agad and I decided to ripped out my iv since walang proper tools dito sa room ko just bandages and cotton pads.
I felt a little ache after ripping my iv, "masakit siya pero mas masakit batok ni Alexander" talking to myself made me chuckle, kinuha ko na 'yung cotton pads and bandage sa may cabinet sa tabi ng hospital bed ko and nilagay ko sa kamay ko.
Palabas na sana ako ng room ng biglang pumasok si Doc. Lester, "Doc! I'm so sorry! Babawi po ako ngayon!" his eyes widened as I blurted something out. I lowered my head and clenched my hands tightly to avoid seeing his disappointed expression.
"Hoy gaga minomolesta mo ba si Doc. Lester?" Alex said jokingly. Naglakad si Alex papunta sa tabi ko sabay sabing "Ayan kase gaga ka! nag exercise ka kanina na walang kain tas around 3 na daw nagsimula lunch niyo since sobrang busy today. Gulat nalang ako may chupaping tumatawag sa akin." Alex added. I heard Doc. Lester chuckled kaya napatingin ako sa kanya.
"Y/n, you passed out because you're exhausted; you should eat and relax," Doctor Lester explains as he notices my gaze. "I'll give you two more time and I'll talk to you later," Doctor Lester added as he left my room, pointing at me. After makalabas ni Doc. alam kong masama na 'yung tingin sa akin ni Alex.
"Gaga ano? Ano plano mo sa life mo? Ang tigas kasi ng ulo mo. What if sa ugat ng ulo mo isaksak 'yung iv ha?" pang sesermon agad ni accla sabay upo sa hospital bed.
"Ano ba? I need money rin kasi. And ayokong ayoko nahuhuli sa trabaho ko, alam mo 'yan. Ayoko nang umaasa sa mga ate ko sa Bulacan." sabi ko sabay sandal sa pader.
"Y/n. Para saan ba 'yung pera na iniipon mo? Ni sinkong duling hindi ka makagastos para sa sarili mo. Ano? Sabihin mo? Saan mo dinadala 'hung perang naipon mo?" inis na tanong ni Alex.
"Wait, pinagdududahan mo ba ako? Hoy Alexander, sa banko ko lahat nilalagay lahat ng pera ko. And para sa pambakasyon namin ng pamilya ko 'yon. Sa tingin mo ba may jowa ako?!" pasigaw kong sabi sa kanya, nagulat ata si gaga.
"Kalma, defensive mo naman!? Halatang hindi pa nakaka mov-" sabi niya pero pinutol ko.
"Subukan mo ituloy, hindi lang bacon papasok sa bunganga mo." Sabi ko habang pinapakita yung fist kong nakaanggat.
"Pero Y/n... earlier.. i met someone..?" Sabi niya parang hindi pa sure.
"Hmm? Sino? Kilala ko ba?" pagtatanong ko. Napaayos tuloy ako ng tayo biglang sumeryoso mukha ni bakla.
"I don't know kung kilala mo pero anak daw siya nung VP? Not sure lang pero 'yun kasi narinig ko habang papasok ako ng hospital. And andaming nakakakita sa kanya na ang pale daw nung girl." sabi ni Alex sa akin, alam niya kasi na hindi ako masyadong nag iiscroll sa social media since i'm busy sa hospital, after exercise nalang din ako nakakapag open ng phone.
"Ahh.. sino sa kanila?" I asked with a serious tone. Please not her..
Alex grinned sarcastically and answered, "Not sure loves eh, hindi naman kami close nung nagchichikahan sa labas kanina kaya hindi ko na tinanong."
Tinarayan ko nalang siya sa response nya and kinuha 'yung phone to make sure na hindi sila 'yon. "Kidding aside, naka mask daw kasi 'yung girl. Kaya hindi masyado makilala." He added.
"Ahh.. okay.." i replied, nag scroll lang ako sa twitter to make sure na hindi talaga sila. Sa twitter kasi laging updated kaya doon ako agad nag open.
When I didn't see their face on twitter, I immediately shut my phone and then said, "Alex, wait here ha, kausapin ko lang si Doc Lester." Alex simply nods.

Before entering his office, I knocked three times. I looked around his office and noticed that it was filled of boxes; is he leaving the hospital? "Doc? what's the problem?" I asked, concerned.
Before starting to answer, Doctor Lester looked into my eyes and stated, "Y/n L/n, I'm going to take a break." My eyes widen as I heard his announcement, but I'm also worried because no one can replace him at this time of the month, which is the busiest "swerte naman ni Doc, kaya pala blooming siya today may pinaghahandaan." bulong ko. "That's great news po," I replied, "but who will fill in for you in the meantime?"
"I don't know her," Doctor Lester replied, "but the higher ups recommended her because she's outstanding." A woman? Babae 'yung papalit muna sa kanya? I think Doctor Lester noticed my hindi makapaniwalang expression. He asked abruptly, "the higher up claimed she knows you, perhaps... do you remember anyone taking med school back to your days?"
Yes, I know two girls in my life who are studying medical back then. Tricia and Kathy.. please wag siya. "I'm not sure po eh." I hesitate. Tumango lang si Doc and I decided to leave his office narin since wala na siyang tinatanong. I simply bow lightly as a gesture of gratitude and leave his office.
I was walking in the middle of the hallway, confused, muttering to myself, "Please it can't be.. anybody else but you." I muttered, sensing my tears coming, so I pinched myself hard enough to stop it.
