Devin's POV
"When you think of the beginning of the entire world what do you think of?" My head lays on Marco's chest as my fingers draw shapes on his bare skin.
"The Big Bang." His arm is wrapped around my waist while his hand caresses the curve between my hip and waist.
"Yea obviously, but I mean before that. Most people say God, but I don't know if I really believe that. Even if I did I don't want it to be related to religion; I want it to be pure science and logic."
"I'm listening." He kisses the crown of my head.
"Everything has to start from somewhere. There's always a beginning, but I can't help to think that's there is something further before the beginning; like a pre-beginning. Did gravity pulling swirling gas and dust together just happened? It's not just about Earth it's about everything; even the things I don't know. Like how did gravity become gravity? Or where the hell did Space even come from? For all we know we could be in a snow globe on top of a celestial beings shelf as they read a book made of gold."I rant.
The curiosity keeps running in my head, and it's frustrating because it's like when a kid keeps asking you why even after you answered their question, but instead of why it's how.
And I know that these questions never get an answer.
Marco's free hand moves up cradling my head to his chest, "I can practically hear the gears turning in your head."
"Or maybe your just psychic. I have thousands of evidence that proves so." I look up at him to find him staring at me.
He just stares.
"Sunshine?"
"I love you." He saids out of nowhere, and he continues, "Like I really really love you y no quiero parar."
[and I don't want to stop.]"You lost me after 'I don't want to', but I love you too." I snuggle into the crook of his neck as chuckles he wrapping his arms tighter around me.
"Sunshine?" I mutter against his neck.
"Hmm?"
"Would you like to do me a favor?"
"Love to."
I take my face out from his neck, "Great. Could you please grab my purse so I can get me phone?"
He nods kissing my forehead before getting out of bed walking to the chair where my purse is, and picking it up by one strap.
My heart stutters as 4 white envelopes fall out of my purse and onto the wooden floor.
Marco's brows furrowed as he slowly picks up the envelopes flipping them, and studying the front of the white paper.
"What are these?" He holds up my college letters and picking up my purse.
"White envelopes."
"And why do you have them?" He ask lowly looking at the the envelopes once more, and walking to the side of the bed opposite of me; placing my purse beside me.
"Because," I let out a dramatic sigh through my nose looking down at my hands, ashamed, "I'm a hoarder."
Was this true? No.
Will I have to tell Marco that? No. He already knows.
Marco sighs closing his eyes in annoyance running a hand down his face, "Devin. For once, be serious."
A small pang of hurt hits my chest as he saids my name; a name that sounds foreign on his tongue. I couldn't blame him though. I wasn't being serious.
"They're nothing important. Just college letters." I said trying to grab them from his, but he holds them out of reach.
