Devin's POV

"Just break up with him, and be with me, sweet cheeks" Rowan slides next to me on the couch.

I set down my phone, "Remind how old are you again?"

Rowan drops his head with a sigh as he close his eyes, "14, but age ain't nothing but a number."

"Yeah a number that can send me to jail." I retort.

"What people don't know won't kill- Ow!" Rowan was interrupted by Simon hitting the back of his head.

Rowan is Simon's little brother, and he's also my new best friend. Marco and the guys left 2 and a half weeks ago; it was also when I started living with Simon and his brother. I thought it would be easier since they live closest to Texas A&M, which is where I'm going to college.

Matter of fact, the first day of my freshman year of college is today, and I'm nervously excited.

I've been trying to call Marco for the last 10 minutes to ease my nerves, but he hasn't answered; which is weird because he always answers my phone calls especially now since we're 4.9 thousand miles apart.

"Leave her alone Row." Simon walks into the kitchen.

Rowan holds his hands up in surrender, "I'm just saying what we were all thinking."

I laugh, "Literally no one was thinking that."

"Well I was." He grumbles he crosses his arms sulking into the coach.

I ruffle his hair, "Sorry to break it to you Row, but it won't work out between us, but when you do meet the girl of your dreams, and you will. I'll be the first to congratulate you." I say sincerely.

"But you are the girl of my dreams." He exclaims throwing his hands up, "We're both gonna be freshman this year. I don't see the problem."

"I'mma be a freshman in college. You'll be a freshman in high school." I counter.

"Row leave her alone. She has to leave in 15." Simon walks out of the kitchen, "Oh- And your Uber's outside."

Uber?

I tilt my head in confusion, and Simon just nods his head towards the door encouragingly.

I bid the brothers goodbye telling them I'll see them layer before walking the house.

After closing the front door I turn around, and see a familiar figure leaning against a familiar grey car with a bouquet of blueish-purplish flowers.

I slowly walk closer "Marco? What are you doing here?"

The sunglasses block his dark eyes, but I could tell he was looking at me; mostly because of the devilish smile he's wearing.

"No hug, gorgeous?"He opens his arm for me.

I laugh jogging towards him dropping my book bag, and wrapping my arms around his neck as my legs circle around his waist. His arms wrap around me as he stuffs his face into my neck; taking a deep inhale.

"I missed you so much baby." He mummers against my skin as he wraps his arms tighter around me. I laugh as he place kisses all over my face.

I lean back a little getting a good look at his handsome face, "What are you doing here?" I breathe combing back his loose curls with my fingers.

"Did you really think I'd let you go to your first day of college by yourself?" He ask; feigning disbelief.

"You're right. I don't know what I was thinking." I exaggerate turning my head away in shame.
