Forgetful

Memories I fearfully lost,
Rediscovering them like a morning frost,
Amnesia returning back into play,
Unaware if I can make it through, 'okay',

Thoughts of my intricate life & family,
Realisation of our truth, gifted with calamity,
Did it ever work? Not quite properly,
Keeping myself caught up in this unforgiving monopoly,

Why did I live? No one will know,
Why did I breath? When no one would show,
They show no tear drops of affection to me,
Hence I'm stuck in a trance, desiring an attention spree.

All I need is an hour, a second, a minute,
There goes that 'beeping' sound again, why won't it finish?
Little did I know - switching it off would put me at rest,
Not for while, just a little longer, eternally sleeping, perhaps it's best.
