My Universe

My universe. It's small, overcast, and limited,
You used to be all I know, but now I'm prohibited,
In my universe, there are flowers, stars and people,
Piecing this puzzle became inevitably illegal,

It's illegal because I can barely talk, let alone breath,
You're making it difficult as you clasp your sheath,
It's up to my throat, up to my feeling and thought,
I couldn't see your intent, you've had me caught,

As you can tell, my universe is broken, along with my heart,
All I find is trouble, whenever I click 'restart',
I don't want to go, I beg and plead,
I've fallen for you... you are what I need.

We've been through hell and back, we just need a rest,
A thought in my mind, tells me you'll protest,
I'm travelling forwards, wishing I was in reverse,
Just know you'll always be safe, in my universe.
