Chapter 3: The Training Room

The clothes were white with a bow in the front, surprisingly comfy high heel boots, white gloves with coloured trim, a coloured skirt and a coloured collar, only mine had flames and Stormy had waves on the coloured parts.

As we walked into the training room, I noticed that it was just a white room. No windows, no equipment, just us and the only way out.

" It's a simulator. As soon as the doors close you'll be fighting those monsters from the park again. Only you won't have us there to help you."

Said Sailor Mew over some invisible speakers. " By the way, your sister keeps calling us by our sailor name. You can just say our planet, okay?"

I heard a soft whoosh as the door closed behind us. I didn't have time to reply when the room started to look like the park. The memory replayed before my eyes. I felt something heavy on my back and turned around to look. My backpack that I had left in the front of the training room was now back. I dug through it looking for the staff. When I finally found it I quietly tiptoed behind the monster. I was so close to the monster when I stepped on a twig. The monster looked around and roared when it saw me.

" Come on you guys!" I yelled in frustration.

I heard laughter through the speakers.

Meanwhile the monster advanced on me. Again with an ice ball.

What was it? Crystal Practice? No wait, Crystal Pactice! I thought.

I shouted "CRYSTAL PACTICE!" and destroyed the monster without a second thought. Then the monster changed into the fire creature like before, but this time I was ready. I said the magic words again but this time it dodged. It then hit me with a fireball and I thought it would go straight through me. After all, it's a hologram, right? I was wrong. It did not go straight through me. Instead I got hit with a wave of fire. That hurt. But not as much as watching it swallow Stormy up.

I don't know what hit me. I just lit up on fire you could say. Literally. I found myself soaring into the sky and shouted " PHOENIX OF FIRE!!" and that just about did the trick. The monster started to glow in certain places then brighter and brighter. I looked away as it exploded and when I looked again I saw dust in the form of an eye before it settled to the ground and disappeared.

I guess that's the symbol for the Dark Lords I thought.

When I blinked again I was back in the simulator's blank room.

I saw Stormy lying flat on her back across the room. I dropped the staff I had been holding and ran towards her.

"I'm sorry. I am so, so sorry." I said through tears. "I will never, ever leave you alone or in a situation like that ever again."

The doors opened up and four Sailor Scouts entered the room.

Stormy got up and still a little dazed asked "Where's Mars?"

"She's in the control room. She's going to test us all." replied Mercury in a slightly upset voice.

"Ahh, come on! Are you upset that you aren't doing it again?" Venus asked in a taunting voice.

"Okay, I know you two love to fight but i'm going to start the simulation in about one second." Mars said through the speakers.

She wasn't kidding. The next moment we're surrounded by monsters big and even bigger. One of them breathed on Stormy and the next thing you know, she's a frozen block of ice. The Sailor Scouts started immediately hitting the monsters and on by one they exploded into dust. I kept shouting the same "CRYSTAL PACTICE" over and over and pointing my staff at monsters over and over. The same monster that froze Stormy was coming for me. I turned around and noticed it too late. It blew on me and I covered my face with my staff. I moved the staff away to find it frozen, not me.

"Hey Mercury, did you freeze that monster?" I hollered.

" Hang on, I'm a little busy here." she yelled.

I guess she didn't do it I thought.

"But I did. I am Ankhiale, The goddess of heat and fire. I have been giving you guidance on your journey here." The goddess answered. "I am your birth star, in others words your guide. Everyone has one, your sister for example, has Namako, the goddess of water."

Somehow the battle disappeared and I was brought into a forest. I saw two girls playing tag and laughing. They were the polar opposites. One had blue eyes and the other had hasel. One was tall, the other short. One was wearing a blue gown, the other red. As the two girls were playing, I noticed that the pond near the girl with a blue gown was coming to her. Not her coming to it. The water went around her legs and wrapped around her entire body. The girl in red stopped running and stared. The girl rose until she was an inch off the ground. The water became harder and harder to see through and it looked like the playmate was also having trouble seeing her friend. Soon you couldn't see her at all. As the little girl in red screamed for her friend, something happened. Somehow the sun's heat must have burned her, and she lit on fire. She then was engulfed in flames. About a minute later, the blue girl emerged from her water cocoon and the fire turned to smoke. The girls looked different. In fact, they looked much older. The girl who used to wear red was now wearing a dress that was on fire. The girl who used to wear blue was wearing a dress that was like a piece of the ocean. They then disappeared into thin air. Time sped up and soon, we were in my house. In this time period I was just a baby. When my mother laid me in my crib, I looked through the window and saw a star explode. I saw the woman in the fire dress as she stroked my baby head. She then left, but I knew right then, watching my old self replay actions I had forgotten, that she had ignited a spark in me that soon turned into a flame.

I saw the memory fading away, and then I was back in the simulator. Now I knew why there wasn't any equipment here, it's because this place was made so we could connect with our birth stars. I knew why there were so many monsters. The Sailor Scouts had planned this. They were waiting for us to connect. For the final move. I held my staff in my hand and pushed off a falling monster and screamed "FIRE OF ANKHIALE!" as I drove my staff with both hands into the ground. A wave of fire destroyed every monster there was. The simulation glitched before it went out completely. The last thing I remember is hitting the ground while Moon, Mercury and Venus ran to me.Everything went fuzzy and their shouts at me lost sound. Then it all went black.
