Who is Kira?

Without having to go to class today, this gave (Y/N) plenty of time to research about the word she heard in her dream. Kira.

She pulled out her work laptop and searched up the word she assumed it was pronounced. Luckily, she spelled it correctly and websites and public news articles popped up. Her head tilted in curiosity as she clicked on the websites one at a time, learning everything she could from them. After she blew through all the websites, she read each and every news article that had even a single mention of Kira.

She learned somewhat who Kira was from this alone, but it wasn't a lot to go off of. Trying to make the most out of the information she has, she leaned back in her seat and took the pieces carefully. In her head, she was starting to piece different things together, and this was the story she was able to make of it:

'Kira is a mass murderer who only killed criminals. At first, things seemed to be going as he or she was planning, killing off criminals and reducing crime rates. Because of this, they started seeing themselves as superior and powerful above everyone else, being the only one who could 'rid the world of evil.' Using this newfound power, they would become a God of some sorts, but all of that would be halted when the police start catching onto their actions.

'The police are stumped with trying to catch Kira, so they had to bring in someone who could actually do it.'

(Y/N) has actually heard of the person they brought in. In fact, for a while, she even idolized him. That didn't last long, though.

'With L now in charge of the case, Kira feels challenged. Without seeing each others faces or knowing their names, the two would slowly start to corner each other. People would speculate whether Kira would reign supreme or if L would be successful in Kira's arrest, solving the case and putting it to rest. Now, nobody knows anything about the state of the case, therefore making people start to question L's reliability. Kira has continued killing criminals without arrest.'

Criminals...thats not all Kira had killed. If this is all true, and if these victims have died from heart attacks, then that means that Kira had to have been responsible for the deaths here just last week. And if that's the case...then do I know who he is? Without actually knowing?

This sudden realization caused her mind to spiral out of control. If Kira was actually responsible for the deaths of all those bullies, then does that mean that she had narrowed down his whereabouts and possibly his identity? Why would Kira bother with bullies here if he wasn't located at Tensai Ai where he could've seen it all happen? And what about L? Doesn't he know that much? He's called the greatest detective in the world for a reason, isn't he?

Through the monitors, Ryuga had his knees up to his chest with his eyes stuck on (Y/N). Light had just left his dorm, so all he had to look at was (Y/N). His second Kira suspect.

He kept a close eye on her while eating a donut, watching her every move. He saw her researching about Kira faint through the slightly blurry screen. If she is Kira, why would she research about herself? If anything, she would try and avoid seeing herself online. From what I've seen of her behaviors, anyways. If she was, she wouldn't feel the need to look herself up, given that Kira is all over the news and among gossipers. She would act interested, yes, but she wouldn't go so far as to fake researching herself...

His dark eyes were wide with professional interest as he watched her, a little bit of chocolate frosting smeared on the edge of his lips but he didn't notice. His head kept tilting with slight confusion as the gears in his brain chugged and twisted. Something about (Y/N) was confusing. Confusing enough that he had no choice but to suspect her as well. If it wasn't for her strange behaviors, he'd probably leave her alone and focus on Light instead. Her lingering silence is what confused him the most.
