Sunday flew by very quickly and before I knew it Ophelia was waking me up Monday morning with a smile on her face. I smile sweetly back and shove her off the bed as I roll over to get more sleep.

"Oh baby that's cute but I believe last night you agreed to take the twins out for ice cream today so get up." She smacks my ass and laughs as I snap at her for waking me up so early.

The afternoon comes quick and soon thunder and rain start to pour from the sky making it a little dark outside. The twins pout seeing as it's raining but then cheer up as Ophelia agrees to play some video games with them. I help her mom around the house preparing for more guests coming tomorrow to stay with them.

After dinner, Ophelia and I went for a walk since the rain stopped for a while. We hold hands as we walk back towards her house laughing at each other. I snuggle into her side more and sigh happily.

"I love you," I say as I look up at her. She glances down at me with love filling her eyes and cups my face.

"I love you more baby" She whispers as her lips press against mine for a sweet and slow kiss. I push myself up on my tippy toes and kiss her back. We both pull away smiling, she leans in again but stops as a throat being cleared pulls us apart.

"Well, it's nice to know my favorite niece has found love." A voice chuckles and we both watch as someone steps forward at the end of her parent's driveway. I feel Ophelia tighten her hold on my hips.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" She grits out. I look between her and the man standing in front of us. Suddenly it clicks that this is her uncle, that uncle. I swallow and step closer to her. He smirks as he watches my movements.

"It's Thanksgiving, precious family time you know?" He shrugs and puts his hands in his pockets. "I wanted to see my favorite niece again." The look on his face is disgusting. He trails his eyes over her body a few times and adjusts himself in his pants.

"You're sick you know that?" I cross my arms and frown as he laughs and shakes his head at me.

"No sweetheart, I just do what my body wants. Nothing sick about that." I roll my eyes and glance up at Ophelia. I sigh and tug at her arm.

"Let's go in" I mumble. We begin to walk towards to house just as the rain starts up again. We don't get far before he says something I don't catch and before I can blink again Ophelia is in his face words flying out of both of their moves as their voices raise almost louder than the rain.

"...Shut up Jackson." I catch the ending of her sentence. I look over at him as he reaches out to her. "If you fucking touch her It'll be the last time you walk this earth." He just chuckles and taunts her some more.

"Please, you're just as weak as you were back then." He grips her wrist and smirks at her.

My eyes widen at how quickly how it all happened. The rain slides down her arms making sure to touch every dip and curve and wet every strand of hair on her head. Her lips are turned up, smiling, as her fist makes contact over and over again with the man that ignited her pain and hurt. I couldn't do anything but stand there for a while as her rain soaks me from head to toe. All I hear is the rain and her screams as her fist go down over and over. Years of pain and trauma came out in this one moment so quickly.

At that moment I could understand why she is the way she is, I could feel everything she felt. Staring at her I realize why everyone calls her a monster but they all failed to mention that life had made her this way.

I snap out of my frozen state and run over to them and with all the strength in my body, I pull her off of him. She starts walking forward again but I shove at her chest.
