Dear Diary, March 2022

My first day of school was definitely not what I expected it to be. It started off pretty good and progressively got worse and worse to the point where it ended with this girl attacking me for no reason then dropping to the floor screaming, yes, screaming!  I mean she literally came out of nowhere, grabbed my arm and held on so tight that I swear her nails touched bone.

I checked it out this morning and she left bruises and scars all over my arms. She also gave me this look, like she wanted to kill me, luckily she dropped like a fly before she could do anymore damage. When she dropped to the floor she started screaming, it was insane. I've never heard anyone scream like that. Ever. There was something weird about it, even her eyes turned this strange black color. It was horrifying. Luckily some guy got me out of there and I must have blacked out in his arms because when I woke up I was in my room and so was he at like 3 in the morning. I'm grateful he helped but I could've done without the whole interaction we had this morning. Speaking of guys I met this boy yesterday, his name is Luca and he is sweet, handsome and charming but has a girlfriend and my new friend Katherine (she's like if Caroline Forbes and Serena Van Der Woodsen had a baby) said he's bad news so as much as I don't want to I'll be keeping my distance from him. The last thing I want is trouble.

I'm going to the school library before first period so hopefully, I can find some answers to what happened to that girl. I've had an experience with the supernatural before and my gut is telling me that yesterday's experience wasn't normal at all.

Before leaving the room I took one last look at myself in the mirror, I wore a pair of black bootcut jeans that used to be my Aunts, a plain long sleeve white Henley and a creme-colored cardigan paired with low-top converse sneakers.

I was determined to look for answers and I had the strangest feeling that maybe the blonde girl was sent by him. I couldn't have my past rearing its ugly head and if he was onto me or knew where I was then that would have to change, fast. For my sake, and the sake of others I hope he didn't know where I was.

The sound of someone knocking at the door pulled me out of deep thought, I looked down at my phone and wondered who would be up and about this early before school started. Without another thought I went to open the door and was taken off guard by who it was.

"Hey." I was met with Luca smiling down at me with my bag in his hand, "You dropped this yesterday when you were running away from me."

I shrugged, "I wasn't running." I crossed my arms in the process. I didn't need him to know how nervous he made me and I read somewhere that crossing your arms is a sign of asserting dominance. I think.

He chuckled, "Then what was that you did yesterday."

"Playing hide and go seek." I giggled nervously, "I hid, and you-"

"You don't have to lie." He cut me off, "I'm not a bad guy Belle and I want you to know that, can we talk after school maybe, clear things up?"

I bit my bottom lip and shrugged, not knowing what to say. I wanted to talk to him and ask him why he would talk to me the way he did if he had a girlfriend and most of all why Katherine seems to think he's dangerous. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, "Sure, we can meet up after school." The words left my mouth so easily that they practically pushed themselves out. I felt a lot calmer right now than I did yesterday so I knew my decision to meet up with him wasn't rash, perhaps that's because my mind was elsewhere so this interaction carried little weight in my mind.
